Why did Furman go for two instead of using up the time and just downing it at 1 yard line for a 1 point win. Miracle on the Mountain II occurred yesterday with App St and Troy.
Since Furman scored the touchdown they have to attempt a pt after and with time on the clock they have to kickoff. Kneeling there wouldn't have taken anytime off the clock during a point after touchdown.
I've never noticed this before, but that's a definite forward pass on the lateral! Jeffries let go of the ball at the 15 and Black caught the ball at the 17. Jeffries forward momentum pushed the ball forwards even though he threw it backwards.
You gotta look at it closely. The player is turned running forward and basically tosses it in a backwards direction and the other player runs into the lateral. The only thing you could maybe say is it didn't go backwards or forwards but thats legal even if that's the case it just can't go forwards. Just by the way the players body is facing and what he is doing there's no way the ball is going forward to make it an illegal play. The player would never do it in a forward direction simply because that makes no sense seeing how the player he is giving it to is behind him. He turns and flips it in the air. Legal play all the way 100%. If you can slow down the video and watch it in slow mo you'll see.
@@davidpitts5851 Its all about where the ball is released from and where it is touched. It is released right around the 15 yard line and not touched until the 17. 100 percent forward. But still a great play and App State is a great program
Defender Gray Griffin, captain of the United States under-17 national team that took part in last year’s FIFA Under-17 World Championship in Trinidad and Tobago, was killed and three other Furman University players were injured Friday in an early morning car crash in Spartanburg County, S.C.
Holy crap those were some trash announcers. Taking a 5 yard penalty on the 2 yard line is "not a bad penalty" and not understanding basic kickoff rules.
I was there. The noise in KBS in those final minutes rivaled anything you'd hear in a P5 stadium. It was insane.
Thank you Furman coaching staff! ASU!!!!!
Thank you so much for uploading this. Been looking for a full version for ages.
You're welcome! Same here! Was so glad to find someone who had it.
Can u upload all the games from 2005 app football season?
The Miracle on the Mountain!

They went for 2 incase App st ran the kickoff back close enough for a field goal.
Goalpost came down before I could even reach them. I did help carry it throughout the town though. 😆
Apo did it again

It only matters that he threw it backwards.
Love App State and that is a great ending, but...it was a forward lateral
No it was not at all how could you think that looking at it

the announcers forgot who scored the touchdown lmao

On the two point conversation play. They should have called Delayed of game. The time ran down, it wasn't called

2:19:21-2:20:17 WHAT TALK OF MADNESS IS THIS?!
