I reinstalled the windshield and the rear window on my 1963 Studebaker Avanti using this same method. One thing that helps make it easier is to mix a little dish soap and water (about 50:50 ratio) in a cup and rub that onto the rubber seal. It lubricates the rubber and makes it slide over the edge of the window opening more easily.
Thank god this video exsists, I have a 1977 Quadravan club wagon and it sat for 15 years without a side window. Couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to put it back in
Yes we do. Here you go: tomsoffroad.com/parts/window-glass-gasket-rope-in-installation-tool tomsoffroad.com/parts/window-glass-installation-hook-tool tomsoffroad.com/parts/window-glass-gasket-installation-chisel-stick-tool
I'm about replace the side window of my 70 bronco. As for the SEALER, what do you suggest? I'm not sure which is best the 3M 08693 [1] or the Permatex 81730 [2]? The former seems to be for mounting glass on surface directly. So I'm not sure how well it will hold the rubber window seal to the window frame. Suggestions? [1] 3M 08693 Auto Glass Urethane Windshield Adhesive Cartridge - 10.5 fl. oz. [2] Permatex 81730 Flowable Silicone Windshield and Glass Sealer, 1.5 oz.
That makes little sense! This is a EB Video. That being said, Ebay has inexpensive window glass for most vehicles, and it will run between $100-200 for install labor.
It's also a good idea to set the rubber gaskets out in the sunlight if possible to soften it up to make it more plyable.

I was hoping to hear a price on a windshield for a 57 Chevy also installment a ballpark figure of what it's going to run me?

The factory did not use sealant.
