George and Wade chat to us about the band's final tour, getting teary and the chances of a reunion, filmed backstage at Sydney's Hordern Pavilion just before they hit the stage.
In terms of farewells, it was a fittingly fierce one. After ten years together, Canadian post-hardcore kings Alexisonfire called it a day in 2011, but they weren't going out without a helluva party and one last tour. Australia was lucky enough to be one of just four countries they'd visit and Moshcam was lucky enough to capture their searing swansong in Sydney.
Fuelled by the iron fist/velvet glove vocal combo of George Petit and Dallas Green, the band -- which also includes guitarist Wade MacNeil, bassist Chris Steele and drummer Jordan Hastings -- tore through a powerful 25-song salute that included incendiary hits like 'Accidents', 'Pulmonary Archery', 'Young Cardinals' and 'Drunks, Lovers, Sinners & Saints'.
Despite the band's wishes, there was some sadness in the send-off. Of course, while Alexisonfire's flame may have been extinguished, the music and moments like this will always live on.
God I miss these guys, I just listened to all of their records yesterday in a marathon session. Man I am so glad i saved up the money to buy the VIP meet n greet package when they played in Toronto. Totally worth it, such a great down to earth group of guys
so glad to see them live!!!!!!!!! i lovem!
they are the best band ever.

So happy you posted this Moshcam :D I missed meeting Wade when they were still touring, he a Canadian hero back home

awsomechannel1000 Now they're reunioning for you to see them!
God, this almost hard to watch. :( Come sing me to sleep George!
I hope I see a reunion tour in the near future.
Actually it is, you can hear it in the background at 11:00. Dallas probably just added some kind of intro before the actual song kicked in
I wanted to see you guys.. But then you broke up and I missed the farewell tour..
George just drinking his tea.
Yeah it's a intro to a city and colour song, I think they played that then did this could be anywhere in the world.
Love seeing stuff like this. I live 5 mins from this Cigar shop mentioned...textbook comment regarding dickheads in a lowered CRX, welcome to southern ontario hahaha
Lol @ House Vs Hurricane in the background
First? I guess? I'm glad that I had my chance to see them live.
I think that there's a possibility they could reunite at some point
congrats you were right lol
And they’re back better than ever
Lmfao at the teardrop tattoo comment that I can't reply to directly but I was wondering the same thing. He still looks like a scenester
It's not a teardrop one is a moon the other I believe is a triangle
lmao "You see them and you're genuinely happy that they're not fucking a guy whose doing steroids, and drives a lowered CRX" ahahahaha fuckin great
It could be A Lexis on Fire. You may never know. :o
8:46 is not "this could be anywhere in the world"
its a crescent moon bud, got some gypsy vibes going on.
Hard to watch...
Is it "alex is on fire" or "alexis on fire"? I still dont know!
alexis on fire
Why does Wade have a teardrop tattoo? The only thing he ever killed was a bowl of pasta.
