Gary, What you are doing with the twisted upper cut is very similar to what is known in the Military as a " buttstroke". The butstroke is done with a rifle or shotgun butt and is a very powerful blow if done correctly. It is a sure jawbone breaker. Very good. Thank you very much.

Love the simplicity of the move. Gary, I have the “Shadow Hawk” being made now and shipping in 2 weeks.
Appreciate your upgrades, I saw the advantages of them and the stealth of black. Trying to be the Grey Man at 74 till the last minute.

Great lesson, thank you. Seems to me that a strike to the chin with the smaller end of a derby handle would cause more localized damage and offer a better chance of bone breakage.

Thank you Gary, another great video. Two questions, after bouncing up the right arm, are there any effective strikes while stepping behind the attacker and getting away from their left? Second is there a way to practice this with an armless heavy bag? I can tape a target for various chin heights, but I’m not sure how to simulate the arm.

Hello yes you can also do a bayonet strike to the ribs as well. Also a hit to the back of the head if needed.

So, which is more painful or effective? The crook or the palm rest? You didn't state your preference in the vid.

The palm rest will cut them open more.

@@Savagecane The sight of blood (their own) will often make an attacker back off some and keep more distance between himself and the victim--which is always a good thing.
