- Seiben goes over the story of our favorite Elvish Planeswalker, Nissa Revane. With her new origins story from Magic Origins, we finally get her full story! Will Nissa appear in the Battle for Zendikar, more so will she be able to stop the Eldrazi?

Nissa is a very cool planeswalker! Thanks for making this lore video, seiben! It really is much easier than reading the lore myself, plus it is way more interesting to learn it in video form!
Nissa has a very unique story in my view. It's interesting to see how she develops from just wanting to save her tribe, her home world and then the whole multi-verse. I think she could be a part of many different future story-lines with her playing this protector role. Most of the other planeswalkers are using their abilities for personal gains or just for the betterment of themselves. Nissa started out that way but it seems like now that she played a huge role in releasing the Eldrazi she is taken it upon herself to protect the whole multi-verse. I look forward to the day Nissa reunites with Sorin. That'll be a fun little back and forth haha
this was a great video, I learned a lot about one of my favorite characters. also gotta say that this was a great bed time story

Nissa is definitely one of the coolest planeswalkers, along with Gideon and Ajani (in my opinion) and her new origins story is quite similar to the old one i think and im really hoping hey add her in the Battle for Zendikar set
I quite like the new lore it gives a reason why nissa would be in the state of mind to release the eldrazi rather then seal them

PandaJohn71 I'm thinking a destruction of one of those things is well over do.
It sure is...Nahiri, Sorin and Ugin did their best and Nissa's been trying to heal and protect, Zendikar from the foul-Galactus-like beings since she was a part of their reemergence so she deserves to redeem herself by being integral to at least one of the 3 Eldrazi lords...Hopefully Ob Nixilis and Nicol Bolas don't interfere.
elves make a come back in origins, should be cool to see them in action with the new and hopefully the old Nissa ;)

Nissa is great in an Elf deck. I wonder if she will return in time to help Sorin and Ugin stop the eldrazi. I wonder if they might kill most of them this time as well.

Next to Liliana's origin story, this one is my favorite. It's one of the least retconed out of all of them.

Gideon,Sorin, and Nissa all fighting Eldrazi together...... sounds amazing i hope that happens....... I think Ugin may join the fight also. I think Nicol Bolas is also gonna be mixed up in this somehow

seibenlore After hearing Sorin´s Lore (i watched your Sorin Video xDD) I really disliked her... Because i thougt she was so simple minded and easy to trick... she gave me a similar I got when i watched the final of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy were Froddo is supposed to throw the Ring in the Fire of Mount Doom and he just turns around on the spot and wants to keep the ring for himself, in that scene I thougt: "You´re sooo dumb, I honestly can´t believe how stupid you are!!!!". I thougt the same thing of Nissa until now
I can't wait until the battle for Zendikar now.

I mainly want to see what mechanic they will use if they bring the Eldrazi back for that set. My friend actually has Emacrel that ungodly powerful creature. Annihilator 10... I'm very traumatized by that...

So does she fight with a bow staff sword or magic? I've seen all of them and really want to know
xlblackswordlx She fights with a vine sword, kinda like a walking stick of staff which turns into a sword. But mainly she just uses nature magic.

I saw some complaints about the walkers becoming to similar, but I disagree. Nissa is the perfect example of that. She stands out from her peers in many ways.

Honestly, for as much as I like characters like her, what she did when Sorin was trying to fix the seal on the Eldrazi was so insanely idiotic I am just waiting for her to bite the bullet or somehow redeem herself.Seriously, what did she even think she was accomplishing there?

how is it idiotic ? she comes from a tribe village in a world where destroying/killing something which means its death in her world. so your saying if u were in her place not knowin anything about those creatures. youd pick sealing them over destroying them when you have the chance ? fml.

It was stated in the vid that re sealing the Eldrazi would only cause it to consume the world from the inside out and the land would remain in pain. That, and her cultural beliefs as a child probably lead her to that choice. But yea, I can see how dumb that choice was.

Yes a planeswalker that Wotc has spent little time on, freyalise. She not nearly as powerful as nissa but a planeswalker non the less.

linksfood It's hard to say. i'm pretty sure Nissa and Gideon will both be involved. Yet that dosnt mean they will get a printing.
seibenlore After SDCC, it sounds like they're definately going to be showing up a lot more often. Seeing Gideon on the art of Battle makes me hope he gets printed again. If they can make it as fun as Origins felt at the pre-release, the future magic could be a lot more awesome. :)
Nissa being able to talk to planes doesn't really make sense. Like, "Hi Lorwyn, how's it going.?"

evisen P Well sorin uses magic which drains life, and nissa uses life magic...... It's hard to say. I would think Sorin simply because he has lived for countless more years and has more experience as a planeswalker.

Matthew Lewis She wont have to. If Gideon shows up (which they are talking about) he can exile. However there are other ways to kill indestructible Creatures unless they have hex proof. I honestly think that the Multiverse does have the tools to destroy the eldrazi for good. Nissa is indeed one of my favorite walkers. And now that her Origin story is out I cant wait to see what will be happening to Zendikar.
