Anthony Jones is a gift to the art community, the sheer volume of training materials on gumroad, on youtube & elsewhere that he puts out, including learnsquared is just unheard of. His gumroad alone has more material than all of the concept artists i admire COMBINED lol. Not saying they should all do that no way they all deserve major props & we are already spoiled with how great of a learning environment we live in nowadays, back when I first started learning 3d modeling, hardware was expensive software was expensive & not much out there as far as tutorials so I had to just keep doing what I can. Now you can get photoshop for TEN DOLLARS a month I mean game over no more excuses. The only side effect of all this greatness is distractions, I myself get easily distracted, I go down the rabbit hole of pintrest or searching for information or fucking around with render settings & not focusing but thats a matter of discipline that no amount of tutorials or school will help, only I can fix it. Anyway just wanted to give props to Anthony, a lot of artists you can say are prolific which means they put out a ton of work constantly but Anthony is prolific in the sheer amount of training material he puts out there which deserves tons of credit more than I can say with my rambling.

Thanks for these videos and being so generous with your time and expertise. You're setting the bar as an artist and an educator. Just started watching recently and wished I'd been here earlier.

Thanks a lot for this great explanation. Every tells you how to study anatomy or perspective but seldom design. So please keep at it! :)

      Precision and tendinitis prevention.
I've always drawn more from the elbow than the shoulder, but still have movement in my shoulder and very little in the wrist. using a Wacom intuos 4 medium, which means the full range shoulder movement is a bit much for the surface area, imo.
I think it's better to simply use less wrist so you get more accurate long lines, and also don't injure yourself while drawing for many hours in a row.
Had 12 hour sessions 5 days in a row, and I started developing some wrist issues. I adapted a more smooth technique with my shoulder/elbow and I haven't had any issues since.
