    I am right at the beginning of the movie, apparently the cattle are in pretty poor condition and Wyatt is talking about feeding them when they get to "grass country"
    I often wondered about these Cattle drives in the old west, they intimated that they could fatten the cattle when they came to grass.....but the Cattle would be full of worms and no amount of grass would or could fatten them up, I can't see the cattle being wormed on a regular basis, it wouldn't be practical to worm 3000 + head and it would be time consuming, how did they do it?

    Monument Valley. Hey, I've been there. I've seen her giant Mesa's, high up in the air. If you try and paint her or photograph. You won't do her justice. Not even by half. When you first see her, you'll stare in "Awe!" No other word can describe her. None at all. What you've beheld at a moments glance. That's the magic of her natural romance. You'll fall in love with her enormous back yard. There are lots of critters there so be on your guard. Don't be sad if you can't stay. You can come back and visit her another day. She'll wait for you so have no fear. After all. She's been there for millions of years.

    • @DonaldPBorchersOG
      @DonaldPBorchersOG  25 дней назад +1

      The film has multiple running lengths. The 97 minute version was released in theaters. This is the 103-104 minute archival preview print discovered in 1994. It was created after director John Ford reshot and recut scenes, changed the music, and slightly altered the finale.

    • @LostInTheMovies
      @LostInTheMovies 25 дней назад +1

      @@DonaldPBorchersOG Interesting. I'm trying to find some side by side comparisons online now but haven't found any yet (I know there is one on a blu ray edition though). When I discovered this runtime, I ran the Doc Holliday/Wyatt Earp meeting in the saloon scene simultaneously with another upload in another tab and they seemed to slowly fall out of sync which is why I was confused. I guess it was a combo of some stray dialogue disappearing or being added alongside my ears playing tricks on me.
      EDIT: Changed "bar" to "saloon". How dare I.

    Don't know why this is supposed to be one of the best westerns of all-time. This is the worst Wyatt Earp movie I've ever seen. At least they could have had some truth to it.

    So this version has doc portrayed as a Yankee from Boston , most versions has him portrayed as a southern aristocrat.
