super good tutorial! also one more thing, a good mix on the melody/loops will make this a lot easier as well. spread out your melody sounds so your drums hit as hard as possible
@@user-ud3ez9rr6c Nothing is stopping you if you want to mate, but it’s still great advice. As a Mastering Engineer and Artist myself I get the perspective. You’re wasting time Mastering your beats if the beat itself isn’t the full record. It pays more to mix loud and properly in this case. 👍
Thanks alot ma g Uve real brought me through music production Just started this year bah trust me am alot more better than I thought I could I culd be in just a year Big up bruh I really appreciate 🙏🤗
First of all, thank u so much for ur mixing tutorials they are great. But why are ur mixing faders on 100% at the beginning and suddenly on 50% before you mix it? I thought first of all we have to Level it with the gain knobs and After that we mix it properly with the faders but if i turn down the faders on 50% the whole thing is way too quiet and then i boost my pc volume or on my focusrite and in the end the Beat is way too loud or too quiet. Does somebody know what i mean ? I am confused about the whole volume buttons and how to set them (Gain Knobs, Mixing Faders, Laptop Volume and Audio Interface volume)
Yeah your saying he talks about pre leveling before applying all the sounds to the mixer but then reduces everything in the mixer to around 50%. I think he's reduced them to wear the 808 is knocking at near enough 0db and makes his minor adjustments around that mixer volume level. Might be wrong though
@@jhallibeats hmm but it makes Sense to me what you Are saying! thank you. But anyways i figured a way out its been a month since then and i just use my ears. If it Sounds good its okay to me.
Does the 808 always need to be louder than other instruments? I keep my 808 lower than my kick and clap, but higher than the hi hat, melody, and other percs I throw in there.
If I'm mixing and gainstaging my sounds using the volume knob, what use is it in using the faders as well...don't they both do the samething? Turning the volume up n down..also is panning necessary and how do you find the root note to a sample to lay down. Your bass, my progress has been haulted because of these things
@@wakjomnai6280 I personally like my kick as the loudest sound. So that'd be the highest then the 808, then snare, main melody and whatever else accordingly. But sometimes the kick and 808 can be too loud and takes up too much room. But if you turn it down... it's too weak. When that happens i usually turn everything down the way it is. Tweak it again and add a limiter and soft clipper. With that being said. My mix to this day is still kinda wack. That's why I'm here
🪘 Get The Anthurium Bundle: bit.ly/anthurium_llb
Lil tip for putting the sounds from the channel rack to the mixer, Left click like he did but press ctrl + L and it'll go straight to the mixer

Very good explained great Tutorial i got one question what is your threshold Ceiling on the pure limiter?
this is sadly bad advice man, look up "PIERRE BOURNE MIXING SAUCE ALEXMADEIT" thank me later ;)
Yo llb what fl studio do you use? I know it’s defo not the cheapest one 🤣. Are you on the producer edition or the all plugin one?

@Jannik W. but then I was thinking if he's pre levelled before the mixer he shouldn't have to turn them down to 50% lol its so confusing oh well
i know bro this guy has bad advice, check this out , look up "PIERRE BOURNE MIXING SAUCE ALEXMADEIT" thank me later ;)

🥶
What headphones are you using?
What spinz Do u use??
The one in the Anthurium kit man

How to mix: Shows AI
My guy🫶🏻
@ llb if i want to post it on DistroKid can i do it the way you did it with out mastering it and put it on there?
That pure limit plugin is exactly what I was looking for to make my beats louder, thanks for letting us know!!!
Any limiter can do this tho, heres a more comprehensive video thats actually useful, look up "PIERRE BOURNE MIXING SAUCE ALEXMADEIT" thank me later ;)
Bro this beat is hot, how can i get it?

I don't use the faders ngl
Overall volume is gain staging with the knobs then balancing with the faders for making it fit with the rest of the sounds
Ignore this guys advice man it's one in a million bad tutorials, look this up ;) "PIERRE BOURNE MIXING SAUCE ALEXMADEIT" thank me later
So you don't use the fresh air plugin anymore from the old video on the master? Guna have to delete that now 🤣
How do you press only show open folders in fl studio 21?
Im laughing at producers buying sounds kits for 20/30 lmao just bought 50 kits for a few bucks
or you could make your own sounds, some guy just leaked how the spinz 808 was processed, look up alexmadeit he leaked pierres mixing too
What if i have a kick and a bass at the same time?
Sidechain it.
@@mpireproductionz i mean how level if i add a kick, cause the 808 is the loudest instrument and we need headroom
@@wakjomnai6280 I personally like my kick as the loudest sound. So that'd be the highest then the 808, then snare, main melody and whatever else accordingly.

hold on... is it just me or did bro put autotune on his voice😂. fire mix tho
