Yesterday I had an important swimming competition.. I practiced for this competition all the year.. Yesterday I swam 200 Backstroke and next week I have 100 Backstroke and 400 Freestyle.. In the 200 backstroke I felt like I failed. I did 2 seconds better than what I did at the end of a set in training. WHAT? Even my coach said it wasn’t good. He said it wasn’t physically bad.. It was mentally bad... I felt like I disappointed everyone. My coach, my parents, my teammates and mostly, myself. I hope next week will be better. Edit: Btw I’m now a week and after the competition. I did SO WELL!!!!! I wanna thank everyone who commented to my comment. Thank you all❤️
This reminds that things like this may seem so insignificant and meaningless to the universe but to us, humans, we take so much pride and feel so happy when seeing this and it shows me how small we are compared to the universe
For me those DUIs don’t matter. He’s an amazing guy and very responsible for taking care of himself after the accident. All time favorite swimmer EVER!!!
People are so fast to judge our mistakes but like David Goggins said, we all have skeletons but some people hide better. Stop judging, only God can judge you, be better. He is the greatest ever. I only pick up, and don't bring down. 💯

thank you michael phelps for being my hero and idol not just because of the swimming even though i swim but i can relate to things that he went through and i'm inspired by how he was able to acept his disomontmenrs and come back stronger and tougher and not let people tell him what his goals were were impossible
