The installer was performing some steps that were not explained here. Why for example get under the bedliner during installation? What is he hitting along the sides? And where is the tailgate liner? Perhaps the installation instruction detail would be helpful.
I realize you asked this 3 years ago but someone else reading now may have the same question. He got under the middle of the bed because as the middle lifted up, it caused the sides to pull away and allowed him enough room to tuck the tops of the sides under the rail.
The bottom is left loose to allow for a little movement and for water to drain from underneath. Once the Tailgate is closed it stays in place with no problem. Thanks!
You should show the part where you have to DRILL into the bed, the GM bedliners are junk, so far the TRAIL FX bedliner looks like the only drop in without drilling.
Check out step 3 of the Trail FX bedliner installation instructions. It says to put 2 self tapping screws into the bed of the truck to hold the liner in place. Also there are more screws (other than the factory screws) to put the tailgate mat on.
Looking for some answers, just had a GM Bedliner installed in my GMC 3500HD and noticed the rear edge is still bowed up like in the video and second, this morning the front cab portion was holding 2" water from last nights rain. Are both of these normal??
