This is a great tutorial. All I did was use my fingertips to take off the cover, magnetise my screwdriver to take off the 4 screws and followed all screen surgeons instructions. I have a Lenovo Thinkpad which has about 16 screws around that screen, and to change the GUI was a right bugger. Thanks Mate. BTW. Why would anyone dislike your video?
Thanks, you guys rock! I've never done a computer repair of any kind, but I was done in 15 minutes and my new screen works perfectly. Acer wanted to charge me $360 for this repair. Replacing it myself, with your excellent video as a guide, was a much better solution. Thanks again!

I have a question, was it the connector to your screen being loose that caused your Laptop to have a black screen? My Acer E 15 laptop is completely fine and I can see the screen but, it's very hard to see so, I think the screen connector came loose but, I'm not sure if that's why my screen is black. Please help.
i will be ordering from you, i need a new screen for my acer , similar to this one. I'm in UK , i only bought it a week ago.the screen cracked on its own on the inside whilst i was connecting the charger to back, didn't even touch the screen tho, I'm so mad as its not my fault.

First timers should pay attention to 6:15, you need to feel or hear the two clicks when you reconnect the panel. I couldn't get anything to display at first, but rewatching the video showed me how to connect it properly.
So is the procedure the same for changing an LCD Hinge on a ES1-512-C685 ? My Mom has an acer that suddenly developed a crack on the back black plastic and it feels like the hinge is broken or loose.
hi i need your help we have opened the screen for some repair after closing we have made any mistake that we have no enough wifi boost to connect the wifi with modem ı have check it that can user full wifi range only when ı am near the modem 1 meter after 2-3 meter they can not connect you will se it but the range scale is not even a line wifi range and i can not connect it to wifi . what did we do wrong when locking the screen , ı think the wifi antenna is somehow not functon right or loose contact, thank you

For some series, it does as this will determine the type of screen installed. But for the ES1-512 series, it only use one type of screen. Thank you
