- San Antonio Spurs forward-center Victor Wembanyama and Charlotte Hornets forward Brandon Miller have been named the Kia NBA Western and Eastern Conference Rookies of the Month, respectively, for games played in January.
The other nominees for Kia NBA Western Conference Rookie of the Month were Oklahoma City Thunder forward-center Chet Holmgren and Houston Rockets forward Cam Whitmore.
The other nominees for Kia NBA Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month were Washington Wizards guard Bilal Coulibaly and Miami Heat forward Jaime Jaquez Jr.

Man Miller is nice. If the Hornets can get a real good PF in the draft, I think they’ll be set with Lamelo, Miller, Bridges, drafted PF, and Mark Williams. Any ideas of good PF prospects?

@@JAYMORBUCKS You think so? The Hornets moved Miller to the 2 guard after trading Rozier and Bridges is the wing, I think he’s still pretty young too. I feel like PJ isn’t good enough anymore
I was thinking this as I watched. They need a PF who can shoot and guard, and a 3 and d guy to play with Ball. You don't want Miller guarding bigger guys. They have to let Bridges go. Filipowski mentioned below is a good option as he can shoot. Not sure where his defense is.

People forget that he is the #1 NCAA pick in the draft, when Charlotte was drafting, I was hoping they drafted Miller, and I was happy, cause after seeing the youtube highlight tape of him, all that I thought was Kobe. Now Scoot's tape was good too, but I wanted the Hornets to get the 6,9 talented point forward dude.

@@sp123 tatum has overrated defense. the only defensive wing that can clamp is a prime kawhi and prime PG and im not seeing him like that. lol this miller dude is a menace in transition defense too and i didnt see tatum chasing blocks

I was definitely one of the guys who clowned Charlotte for taking Brandon Miller and was mad skeptical after Summer League (I know I made the mistake of taking serious stock in SL) but hot damn he’s proved me wrong. Charlotte got something with Lamelo and Brandon can stay healthy
