  • I think it's about time we had a fun little get together with some of you fine folks out there. What better place than the f*cking Mirage? (That's a quote from Rounders. This channel is PG.) We got 4 tables of $2/$5 no limit going on a Thursday!
    After the poker you guys fed me way too many beers. Sorry about that, Mirage. It was them, not me.

      Andrew Neeme hey Andrew me and some buddies are coming out for the main event and would love for you and Brad to get up another game like that while we're in town if you can. Sounds like it was a ton of fun. Funny, I had a buddy out there playing at the Mirage this same night and he told me you were there playing but obv he was on a different table.

      mjdj45 I think it's the fact that Andrew seems like at least one friend you have or wish you had. Someone with a proficiency and no major ego. The breakdowns make poker seem approachable. He is good for the game and extremely entertaining. He has inspired me to take my game more seriously and I know I can't be the only one.

    Another great vlog. Mixing in the occasional casual game for friends and fans is a really cool idea. I'm glad the Mirage was so accommodating allowing you to film your hole cards and letting you run it twice. It just makes me wonder why more poker rooms aren't as friendly to known vloggers like yourself and Brad. Its free advertising to the room and helps promote the game in general.

  • @rodb.5801

    Andrew you have the ear of 1000s of diehard poker players and fans. You are incredibly valuable to any poker room that you choose to Vlog from. I predict that this will become blatantly obvious to poker management and you will compensated financially and given greater freedom to Vlog at the table. You could easily sponsor something like a "Tuesday" game at a room that normally doesn't get 2-5 and easily create an income stream for the casino that wasn't there before. I also think your fans would love this general idea. nevertheless, great Vlog and continued success!

    • @finleyclarkejinglepotlands6591
      @finleyclarkejinglepotlands6591 5 лет назад

      sure the casino might make $1000 off a night of 2/5 rake in a night after expenses, but seems like the whole casino industry doesn't seem to like their patrons possibly being filmed and put online when 100s of thousands of people will see it.

    Just wanted to say thank you for the content Andrew. THE best poker vlog on the internet, not sure if it's the production quality or your general likability but keep it up! You've improved my cash game tremendously; Not giving up as easily on the flop, finding value in thin spots I would have happily checked prior, and 3-betting more heavily to conceal my range and take down some uncontested pots. Clearing 75 bucks a night on average at our (admittedly soft) .25/.50, 4-hour cash games. Hope to get you a "thank you" beer next time I'm in Sin City.

    Glad to see the Mirage poker room still supports putting games together for friends, particularly during WSOP. One of my most memorable games was playing 5/10 at the Mirage with friends, where we were straddling in 2 or 3 spots per hand, calling dark after the flop, and basically making the couple of regs filling the spare seats drool over the drunken fish that looked like they were throwing money away. Except that my friends ended up winning. There was a sick 4-way river where the reg holding AA came in third place. I felt fortunate to break even by the end of that session, lol.

    • @AndrewNeeme
      @AndrewNeeme  7 лет назад +1

      Andrews value range on the river is KK, AA and AK. A player of Andrews ability is probably going to fold AK on the river to a check raise so if he does check raise he is folding out all worse and only getting called by better. Personally ,with JJ, I would snap call and assume I'm winning something like 80% of the time.

    • @henryk8675309
      @henryk8675309 7 лет назад +1

      Yah I thought the same thing. However, it is pretty risky to raise on a board like that. Andrew's only options would be to either jam or fold. If Andrew did choose to jam he is telling his opponent he has one of four really strong hands (kings full, eights full, aces full, and quads) - only one of which his opponent can beat. The way the hand played out he would put him on either kings full, eights full, or quads.
      I'm not saying it's for sure the best play, but I could understand why a player would want to avoid a re-raise (or jam).

    • @PapaCharlie9
      @PapaCharlie9 7 лет назад +1

      I think AK could jam the river, though it ought to be a lead jam instead of check/jam. A busted flush draw with an Ace could check/jam as a bluff, the Ace in hand giving some card removal to increase fold equity. I mean, if JJ put Andrew on AK or 8x and thought a check/jam would never be called, I suppose just calling makes sense, but exactly because Andrew might have A8, K8 or J8, JJ has to jam the river for value.

    • @pokerendboss3576
      @pokerendboss3576 7 лет назад

      S P6774 this hand irked me. He has you on kk or aa? He lost some serious value.

    • @henryk8675309
      @henryk8675309 7 лет назад

      Not just KK or AA. He would have him on KK, AA, J8, or quads.

    • @henryk8675309
      @henryk8675309 7 лет назад

      I would respectfully disagree. Jamming after a large bet on the river is risky business when you don't have the nuts (or nut blockers or bluff blockers).
      A busted flush draw would be actually a terrible hand to bluff with as you want your opponent to have a busted flush draw. AK would also be a terrible hand to bluff for the exact same reason (you want your opponent to have an AK). Why? Because if he doesn't have AK or a busted flush draw he isn't simply sitting on nut blockers - he has a monster. From MP perspective, Andrew can only have KK, AA, J8, or 88 (both K8 and A8 fold to initial raise; AK or busted flushes would NOT want to raise the river).
      The part that is frustrating to the onlooker is that we have the benefit of knowing what cards they have. Would Andrew have called a jam? Probably. The issue is that his opponent had to sweat KK, quads, and AA as very real possibilities (recall that Andrew 3b pre-flop). And I'm sure what the math is, but I doubt very many people have the ability to figure that out in real time.
      When in doubt you should always look to hedge your exposure (ie. avoid jamming).

    Great vlog. I was thinking when you were giving the 62s disclaimer you were going to go for the squeeze and was actually mentally justifying it (some spots are good enough you can make a move with 2 jokers) but when you said you called, I started shaking my head and laughing out loud haha (your point about tight UTG range is legit though). Stacking KK with the 62 is the kind of home-game-style shenanigans that get most people into poker - great fun to see!

He said no, so I pointed you out (hope that was OK). He asked who you were and I tried my best to explain what you do. Good on you and Brad doing a fan game. Pleeeease come do one in Tampa or even South Florida. I know some folks around here that would greatly enjoy splashing with you. Tampa Bay has some great microbreweries!

    To mjddj45 he has the gift of being "camera friendly". You either have it or you don't and Neeme has it in spades. My brother works in the news biz and was an on air reporter and anchor. He worked at WRGB and used to work with Rachel Ray, who was, as many know, a nobody with no TV credentials. Rachel had the smarts to develop a friendship with WRGB's on air chef and she got on TV. The rest is history. Maybe the same for Neeme.

    This looks like such a good time. Mix it up and leave a bit of the seriousness at the door. Not all of it, but a bit. I love that you did this. If only I was in Vegas instead of the East Coast of Canada. HA!

    Great job! Your 6d2d call I always call a "3rd beer call". Fun to get lucky with a "3rd beer call"😁.....The J8 hand I noticed you didn't use the word "blocker" in that hand, such as "I have J8 so there's no way he could have Jack's Full on the turn because I block that hand"😂 File that under $#&t happens. Keep up the great work!

    I was playing the Mirage back in the day of 1-2 limit. I was a broke college student. That was my gambling money for the day. Win at poker, give it back at the tables. Love the retro.

    Great Vlog Andrew. I am a Very casual poker player and though I do learn pointers I am actually more entertained by your Vlogging style. Your Vlog has merit beyond the poker genre. You mentioned a livestream and obviously organized a successful meet-up. I am impressed with how you are tying in a complete social media strategy. Looking forward to more "Vlogging lessons."
