So pleased that you enjoyed the restaurant. It's hard to beat a piece of meat cooked with fire isn't it. They certainly know what they are doing. Nice to hear their service was as good as it was when I was there too, that too makes a difference. I hope you enjoy the rest of your trip and find more awesome places.
@@hungrytoexplore actually thinking about it I had the rib eye once and the T bone the next time. I almost certainly would've tried something different. Also, I had to book on both occasions. To be honest though, I never had a steak in Madeira that wasn't very good. Oh, and you're right. Fat IS flavour! Look forward to your next one Joe!

So now I have to patiently wait until the Schengen Zone lets me back in. However, I will be back and around Europe, so maybe a collab will happen in the future.

Yes!! I was hoping you'd say vaca negra. Went there twice when we were there. Absolutely superb. I always go for rib eye. Great vid again Joe.

walked past it on numerous occasions, but it was always full- which says something. must try it when I'm next there.

never went there. sure will on my next round. to date my go-to place for this sorta thing was the Tomahawk steak at steak&sun in Ponta do Sol
I have never heard of that place, it looks nice but I have only been to Ponta do Sol a couple of times. Let me know how La Vaca Negra compares.
