I believe I mis-worded the kuja pirates tag on the Boa Hancock set: Kuja pirates gives 10% dmg reduction while you're alone. You get 10% damage increase when you're NOT alone.
Honestly this is the one thing I want them to improve in the game, like making good medals usually takes time and gems. Wish they would just guarantee traits at least cus I have a backline of medals to work on but no gems to spend on it
Hey Roman, this might just be me, but I think triple tags are a bit overrated. I think double tags are more than enough unless you want to min/max for skill cd, dmg or dmg reduction. Medal unique traits are the only way to get actual skill CD reduction time which is better to get than going triple tag for skill cd reduction speed. The reason why Kaido sets are so good is solely because of OG Kaido having both the tags and one of the best traits. The reason this trait effect is so good is that for most characters, you will be in battle quite frequently. Just getting hit 4 times is equal to the 8% you get when u get a KO or capture a treasure. And with so many multi-hit skills and normal, while you resist staggering, you will get back so much Skill CD. These are some other medal sets using the goat OG Kaido: OG Kaido + Wildfire + Lightbeard - 6% S1 CD + 5 duo tags again like the triple/double tags, using a 3rd medal will have diminishing returns unless min/maxing for a specific effect. OG Kaido + Widfire/Lightbeard + another Kaido - 4% S1 CD + 3 trio + 3 duo tags Sadly there is no Skill 2 variation of those medals, however, there are medals that give 3% Skill 2 on attacking enemies with normal attacks(30% chance, almost 1% per hit with normals). Normal attacks have gotten insane with multi-hit combos now. The only thing is that they have shit tags atm. OG Kaido + another Kaido + FakeUsopp/other - 2% S1 per hit when attacked, + 1% S2 per hit when attacking with normal + 6 duo tags
I think it comes down to the character. The tags are nice because they’re guaranteed. You’re not guaranteed kills for 8% cd on a skill and if you’re a defender and these are all around best sets it’s situational. For somebody like shanks, sure tags won’t matter as much but gor many other units the guaranteed can just be better

However, the overall effectiveness of a trio trait for skill CD is overpraised based on how it's calculated. For example, a Skill 1 with a CD of 30 seconds will be reduced to: 26.3 s - with a duo tag (+14% CoolDown Speed) 25 s - with a trio tag (+20% CDS) 23.1 s - with using unique traits to get the max (+30% CDS) So with OG Green Kaido skill, you only need to take 3 hits (1.8 s) from any attack to already make up for the difference using just a duo tag instead of a trio tag. For general use, no matter what character and position, you will always find yourself in battle to either attack, defend or capture a treasure. Forget about muti-hit attacks, the combo for basic attacks before downing the player is a minimum of 3 hits. And the effectiveness doubles when adding a Wildfire or Lightbeard medal. For Skill 2 when attacking with basic attacks (30% chance for 3% CDR), you only need to land 5 hits in basic attacks to already make back up for using duo tags instead of trio tags. In a span of 26 seconds, that ain't hard to do. Although personally, I wouldn't use my good transfer medals on the current medals cuz the tags are shit. Idk if it was intentional by Bandai to not give us a skill 2 version of OgKaido/Wildfire/Lightbeard, or a Skill 1 version of FakeUsopp/MerryGo/OdysseyLim. I'm not saying to forget duo or trio tags and fully go for the effects to get skill cd from getting hit or hitting with basics. Because sometimes you will just be chilling or moving to an area where u will not be taking/giving hits. So at least a duo tag for +14% CDS is definitely worth it.
Another set i would recommend to runners is the triple law medal set, *dressrosa law medal* ( 8% cap speed when hp is 70% above) *kid and law medal* ( 8% cap speed when hp is 70% above) *three captains law medal event* ( skill 1 by 8% when you capture)
**Skill 1 Runner Set** FZ Chopper (event) + Wano Chopper + Soba Mask. Up to 27% skill 1 cd when you're alone in a treasure (i.e. when you're capturing and right after you capture) and -13% skill 1 cd for every capture. Great for invisi characters

(And if you're not alone, you can "afford" to die because there are other allies defending it) *Barto Set* - the damage reduction here triggers when you're alone in the treasure area. Great for both defenders and runners. However, it's just up to 10% only (_assuming you use happosui instead of hajurdin_). *"Kid Pirates"* - Sabaody Kid + Wano Killer (event) + Ulti/Kinemon/Yamace/RaidJimbei/RaidNami - 15% damage reduction as long is hp > 70%. Damage reduction set for attackers. Let's be honest, if you're an attacker, you probably do hit and run. And if you do, how often are you really in a treasure area? 😅
it s stil top tier because 10% is still ok, you don t get others sets with much more dmg red while having maxed sk1 cd, 20% sk 2 and you can also try rumble which comes in clutch sometimes but it s pretty rare to trigger tho.

Could you please shine some light on "When attacking an enemy in the treasure area..." traits? The way it's worded doesn't make it obvious for me... When attacking an enemy THAT IS in the treasure area, when attacking an enemy FROM the treasure area or when attacking an enemy WHO IS ALONG WITH ME in the treasure area? Who, if anybody can be outside in order for it to still trigger? I feel like an attacker can be outside and it's only the enemy who has to be inside but I am not 100% sure.
I use the Red Roc medal, King Kong, and Lawfy medals with Oni Zoro and Sanji and it helps me really deal with defenders like Gear 5 or kill a Roger that’s just grabbed a flag. The Hancock set I really enjoy using on any damage dealer, my favorite being Charlotte “Biscuit Boi” Cracker. Allows him to dunk on people easily but it’s very glass canonish Kaido set I use for most of my defenders like Gear 5 and Garp (even tho Roger made him irrelevant RIP). One thing about the Eneru/Enel set, I really like it on runner Koby specifically, cause he’s not a damage dealer, I’d rather him be a tanky support. Came very clutch for me a lot I think Runner sets is where I’m struggling a little. I think I’m just waiting for some transfer trait stuff so I can get it running. I have a good set for Klawd (their medal, Oni Law medal, and Three Captain Luffy medal), and I have a decent classic Dressrosa set but my dumbass made the Doffy portion exclusively Roger Pirates so only Roger and Prime Rayleigh can use it. Got to fix that 😅

Roman got a correction for you, the enel defender medal set can give you 15% dmg reduction at any given time, cuz 2 5% traits contradict, thats why the OG sugar medal set is better and if you change the set a bit with the buffalo medal you can get i believe 22-23% extra dmg reduction. And its much better than the Enel set
in my opinion, this is the best medal sets for Red Shanks & Black Roger : Trio event medals Tobi Roppo : Ulti = knockback enemy reduce cd skill 1 by 5% Saber-tooth tiger = when using skill 1 reduce cd skill 2 by 5% Triceratops = when perfect dodge reduce skill 1 by 4%
I could throw one together. Even that is hard because people only have certain units to work with depending on what they pull so it's almost the same difficulty.

The stampede Luffy medal isn’t that good for cap speed coz if you got teammates with you you’re already capping it faster than normal. King medal has the best cap speed medal requirement because it’s not hp based
I think corazon, fujitora and instead of hobby hobby medal use buffalo medal is arguably best dmg red set cause you only have to fulfill 2 conditions being in your flag 10% and being alone in it 10% its better than enel set cause u need 3 conditions and the condition from the mantra tag isnt good for a defender : if you have less treasure 10% , if you're alone 5%, if you're in your treasure area 5%.
**Skill 1 Set** Using the Boa Set, replace Bikini Boa with Marineford Luffy. You lose the triple tags but you get 27% skill 1 cd whenever you have more or you have less flags. Arguably one of the best skill 1 cd because it has a lot of tags and has consistent 27% skill 1 cd
Why no one talks about this defender set medals - Black maria medal + queen defender + king runner. It gives 30 percent skill 1,2 cooldown on your flag. And around 22 percent total cap speed when you are alone at flag. 🤔
