This is officially my favourite channel, the format, ideas, production, everything is just so good! If you can keep this up you are destined for hundreds of thousands of people just like me subscribing for more! I'm getting into DnD right now and I wanted to perfect the atmosphere for my games and your videos gave me so many ideas! I'd love to see videos about digital gaming tables and your take on them as I'm considering them because of their convenience.
Thanks so much! Awesome to hear you're enjoying the show and taking aways some ideas. When you mention digital gaming tables, do you mean digital maps laid out on a tv? or virtual tabletops like Talespire?
@@Atmoseeker digital maps laid out on a tv is what I'm looking at but a lot of people are using virtual tabletops so it would be a good idea to explore how to build atmosphere for those types of games aswell!
Very Awesome! One of my greatest dislikes about online gaming with terrain is having to reposition the camera constantly. While slightly outside of what I would spend on a camera, I still my take the leap once I have built out my dedicated streaming space! Thanks!
Awesome video! I really want to upgrade my camera and setup for a remote DnD campaign I run for my friends. But the problem I have is that I can't figure out how to utilize a high-def camera for our video calls. We use Google Meet for our video conferencing, and it doesn't seem like Meet (or Zoom, or Discord) support 4K UHD video calls. So what app / program do you use to do UHD video conferencing for your livestream games? Thanks!
Hey mate! Yeah a lot of video call apps compress the shit out of video calls too. I've been using an app called vdo.ninja for Livestreams. It gives a lot more control over the call quality, as well as controlling what your guests see. I go into it a bit in this part of a stream ruclips.net/user/liveGk6zfHd35kA?feature=share&t=3503
Pretty sweet. The only downside to those transitions is a little bit of nausea from the rapid movements. Would be nice to have option to transition to black screen between positions.
I am cycling through the transitions pretty quick in this video, but if you're piping the feed into OBS, it would be possible to add a fade before it moves in a multi action. The cam control action on the streamdeck also has a "fade" so it can slowly blend into the new coordinates.
Hi Atmoseeker, Great video as always :) I have a quick Question - what software do you use for the Backgrounds? Is it VTT or Alchemy or OSB? The animations are from the kinemancer right ? I'd be super interested in how you set the background up - maybe you could do a future video about that ?
Thanks mate! Yeah I'll have to make a video about it. basically it's an action that just opens a video file in VLC (in full screen) I have a video background collection here i've been using ruclips.net/p/PLn9FTf3gHbvgc_ys3lhZVPlVpqTTTWQCe
Hey yeah it's a bit of a smaller table in this video. If you mount it over head it might struggle to push the digital zoom for the far sides of the board, but it will look pretty good if your have some more central objective markers, etc. I'm currently working on a bigger table setup with these cameras. I've been mounting them to the sides to get some close ups and shots of the players. It's gonna be a setup for some live play games I'm gonna run on the channel, with a video showing how that's setup.
so this inspired me to get the cam and a stream deck.. however i cant get the values to show up under bar raiders cam control so i cant preset camera locations.. any ideas?
Oh that's awesome! There should be a check box on the bar raider action to show values. That action also needs to be on its own button and not on a multi action so that's the only value displayed on a button. Might also need to have the value of "setting" set to "manual set" for the pan/tilt/zoom set on the display button. If that's all like that and you're still getting the issue, I'll take a look on my end and see what's up.
Are there any other cheaper options I could look into? This is really awesome, as I have a player who phones in across the country so the setup is a pain and having one camera that can focus on different areas In the room is a dream. However 300 is a lot to drop and i don't know enough about Webcams to Confidently order it.
Yeah it's up there in terms of price for a lot of folks, and with that you get the 4k resolution, larger sensor for low light and nice integration features. An alternative you could try might be the OSBOT ptz camera The 1080p version is about $150. That said, I haven't tested it, and have no idea how it integrates with streamdeck stuff. Like all tech, I'd recommend taking a look at a few reviews before making a purchase. Here's a link to the OSBOT www.amazon.com/OBSBOT-AI-Powered-Omni-Directional-90-Degree-Correction/dp/B08NPGNMV8
I tested an osmo pocket 2 with that thought too. Although it's a nifty good camera with its gimbal, setting it up for live stuff is a pain in the ass. It can be done, but it's pretty hacky and you can't do streamdeck integration
Hey mate! Those are some new DMX fixtures i picked up from here. They're on weighted microphone stands for my portable setup. wish.com/search/square%20rgbw%20par%20light/product/62fc9029a376d3a8f6ff2014
I read "Face", "Beard", "Zoom", "Face2"on the streamdeck and I refuse to believe anything other than "Seb has a setting where the camera swivels around and zooms in on just his beard"
Mine just stopped working after 2 months. Was not registering to any computer using any cable. The return process was ridiculous, its been months and I still have not heard back from them. It was very cool when it worked. I do not recommend it.

Those transitions are insane! Would take battle reports to a whole new level.
Indeed! Looking forward to playing some live wargaming on the channel with this puppy

Yeah it's a pretty neat piece of kit, would love to do some let's play content with this.

What Camera are you using for your talking heads shots?
That'd be the Canon M50 Mark 2
so, I am starting battle reports and researching cameras. Would this camera be suitable for a 6x4 foot table?
