This is a long-awaited analysis. I love The White Lotus, and I must say that one of the components that make it such a great TV show is its costume design. Apart from the amazingly well-written screenplay, smart dialogues, great acting and scene direction, the costumes tell us so much about each character. Nicole dresses like a boss even when she's on vacation; Tanya looks like the spoiled, messy girl trapped in the body of a woman she is; Rachel's wardrobe is that of a woman who just married into money; Shane dresses like the childish mama's boy he is, and Olivia and Paula obviously consider themselves way too intelligent to be concerned about fashion. As for the staff, all the costumes portray how luxury resort uniforms should look like: good tailoring and fabric quality above what you would expect in less posh hotels combined with a tasteful color palette. They almost don't look like uniforms yet there is still something that makes it clear that they are uniforms. I can't wait to check out the season 2 analysis!!
Thank you so much for commenting!
Another fun and interesting review!
Thank you Constance!
I love your channel I'm obsessed with it.
Ah, thanks John. What a lovely thing to say. ❤️
@@Costume_CO you’re welcome. What blows my mind is how you come up with an analysis that I always seem to miss. It’s very thorough and detailed and I feel a lot smarter after watching one of your videos. My videos are just fluffy pieces of cotton candy compared to yours.
Can you do a analysis of The remarried empress?
I thought that the bra choices were intentional, as she is a bit cluless and uncomfortable in the new situation???
Could be.
