What a sweet garden! the raised beds are the best way to keep things where you want them to be. I feel that I always wonder what I did last year. But take a picture so you can go back to the way you planted them, good or not so good. We need rain here in Iowa also. Our grass is really getting brown. Plus the flowers and bushes really like the rain instead of the watering. I picked up a couple things at Wal Mart the other day. now where to plant them. Perennials. At my age I want them more. Thanks Joyce

Once your nepeta is fading cut it back and it will flush a second time. That lavender looks like Spanish. Be sure your soil is amended with sand or something similar that’s free draining for your lavender plants. I divide and propagate my lavender, catmint and lots of others usually in spring sometimes fall to increase my plants on a budget. I love your color scheme. Such a lovely home and garden.

The window boxes turned out great! ❤That is definitely English lavender, the best in my opinion! I have 4 gardenias among my plants. In June I pick 20-30 gardenias a day! Now I pick around 10 a day but still fill two bowls in the living room! Nothing can beat their smell!!! Really like your garden! ❤ Will try the catmint! Thanks for the tips!💐🙏

I love catmint growing in my gardens. I also put it in huge pots and it just blooms and blooms all summer if you give it a big enough pot. It does wonderfully in galvanized tubs with holes punched in the bottom for drainage, as does lavender. I always fill the pots super full of dirt and make sure the plants are sitting tall which gives them plenty of growing room and good drainage for the whole summer. And Russian sage!! You need some!! Beautiful lavender plants for late summer and fall. The bees love ALL of these plants. 👍👍. Put a potting table out there and you can have lots of new baby starts off all these plants, too! ☺️☺️

Pine and Prospect Home I think your lavender plant is the variety “Phenomenal”. Not 100% sure but it looks like one of mine and that’s what the tag reads. I think it’s English. Spanish lavender is more pink with a bigger flower head and bigger petals, I believe.
