Club Z was phenomenal & Club 1235 kept the same vibe going strong for years. The venue was massive, light show & lasers were insane as was the sound system. The club was so ahead of it's time. I practically lived there on Fridays & Saturdays.
This was a great club, such as Backstreet in broward ..No one stop dancing miss those days!! Music was so unreal I can feel the Confetti falling lol 💃💃💃🏻
Backstreets was to me on par w/Club 1235, maybe better. 2 levels & huge outside area by pool. Passed out into the bushes one night after way too many rumrunners & then a round of tequila. The sun woke me up the next morning! LMFAO! Had to take a cab back to home to Hialeah.
Miami Carol City Senior class of '86. I wasn't at 1235 that night, but, it (along with Backstreets in Ft. Lauderdale) was definitely the place i love to hang out with my friends!!
WOW...I was there that year it seens like yesterday...I had the best time at the vip table up stair, the view was awesome ,it was so inspiring, hot women, rich perfum, lot energy, fast and fancy cars ,this was the begining of glamour cahe at south beach in the 80's....long live the 80's
@WILLtoPOWER No, Thank you Bob, for giving us 1987 HS graduates here in Miami, such cool tunes to jam to with our Pyle Driver 15's in the back trunk. LOL. BTW, we need to put together a Club 1235 reunion event here in Miami. Been thinking about this for several years now. I'm well connected (also was a Club DJ from 1988-2001 here in Miami), and it would be great to have Will To Power host the event. Rob J.
That place was the best along with Backstreets. Sound system and lighting really made this place and of course it raining confetti. Way ahead of their time. I loved growing up on Miami Beach in the 1970's and 1980's. Great times and memories. When MaXGTS1 builds the time machine take me with you. Those were some of the best times of my life. Thanks to Miami Vice and Scarface those were a big influences on Miami Beach/Miami that hasn't stopped since
God, do I remember partying in Club 1235 back in the day. I remember that sick Sound System with those JBL bullet tweeters hanging in the middle of the dance floor. Those Big Bertha Bass bins, those 3 Technics 1200's suspended by rubber bands in the DJ booth, that ahead of it's time Laser, and the great tunes coming from the smooth mixing DJ's. What a venue it was!!!!! Long live 1987.
Díganle a Albertico María cristina que traigan esto para atrás.!….que gelicidad. Estaba deprimido y estoy contento. Esto es el mejor psicólogo y psiquiatra
Club Z, 1235, Decos same club different names. Best times, best. Music, best women. With Friday's ticket you would get in free on Saturdays. So guess where I was Friday and Saturday... Sunday's head to Casanova tropical heat night. Miami in the 80's was on fire. Glad I lived thru it.
I'll mention a few more Confetti's, Roxy's & Christophers in Ft Lauderdale, Facade (best sound & lighting of any late 80's club in S.Florida), Club Nu on South Beach, & in S Dade Parallel Bar, Alcazaba, Kit Cat Club
The name of the song is "Stay" by Marx & Spencer. But I believe that he is playing the Instrumental side of the song. I know because I have the 12" Version of this song.
I used to rollerblade in south beach in in late 80s into 90s On the weekends I always listened to the live mixes “ in a scratchy voice “ Lazaro Mendez Phil Jones mixing live on power Power 96 then the volume was back up I went from Alton road to ocean drive and from south point park to Lincoln road👍🏼👍🏼 Good ole days
I love discoteca aire maría Cristina. Albert Agustin Leo Martica mike in the night angelito anny lanz Rene girando Eduardo lujan roley martin y Jorge Counill Julio Alberto Vergara Antonio Gonzalez y super David ver Jano. Se acabó el mundo. Le hacían la vida linda a uno. Soy mi ámense desde 1973. Wow años de super Q. ???quien quito este refrigerio..????. Waoh…….que memorias caramba
Thank you! Maybe you can help me identify one more track. There was a song that came out probably around 1986 and the chorus says "Daytime Nighttime". Male voices and sort of British sounding.
It’s a shame here in Miami when they do 80s themes party’s they don’t play the actual 80s songs like these They mostly just play freestyle and the cheesy hits
This is mostly early to mid 80's Euro club songs being played here, it was a bit before freestyle really kicked in about a year later, but you are right, they seem to play a lot of late 80's, & late 70's disco, in mixes down here in S Florida.
Someone please build a time machine so we can go back to this same place and time.
THE BEST TIMES ,MID 80" SOUTH FLORIDA PEOPLE OUTSIDE OF SOUTH FLORIDA HAVE NO IDEA.... WHAT AN AMAZING TIME OF MY LIFE THAT WAS.
