Fixed for $0.
Check your vacuum lines. You might just be surprised what you find.
Update: Dec 6 - The P0446 code came back. Looks like I will be troubleshooting the evap system!
The P0410 is fixed though, which was caused by the loose vacuum line.
P0446 - Improper voltage drop in the EVAP Vent Valve circuit.
P0410 - Issue with the secondary air injection system.

Thanks for the heads up! Checked my ‘01 8.1, and it was disintegrating just as you described.
Awesome gonna take a look at my Silverado
Watched your video and my vacuum hose was exactly as described for the P0446 code on my Suburban.
The vacuum line didn't fix my P0446 code. I changed the purge valve and fuel tank vent valve. That didn't fix it either. Before dropping the fuel tank to change the pressure sensor, I decided to change the fuel cap. The code is gone now. I'm guessing the cap was holding vacuum, but not pressure. Idk. As long as the code is gone.
That wasn't it either. Code came back.
My vacuum line was disintegrated just as you described. Have had the p0410 code thinking it was the check valves. Hopefully this is the official fix for me
Good luck !
@@ImpalamansGarage repaired the line and passed smog right away. Thank you sir.
I changed the hoses but still have the check engine light. Should I try erasing the light to see if it comes back?
I would yes. If it comes back, there is another leak somewhere. That is a definite possibility.
P0455. Large evap leak. Not fuel cap.
Please elaborate.
Where can you buy that rubber line?
Any parts store. Oreilly, Napa, etc... By it by the foot. Cut to length.
@@ImpalamansGarage just bought it today at oraillys and installed it!
WHERE IS THE PCV VALVE
These motors (8.1) do not have a conventional PVC valve. They use a special port on the under side of the intake manifold.
