- Vintage Guitar Oldenburg and Tobias Hoffmann present a Gretsch Country Gentleman from 1966 more infos at: www.vintage-gui... The guitar shown was played through a Fender Deluxe Reverb from 1972 w. Weber speaker (12F150) and recorded with a Shure SM57 (right) and a Sennheiser 409 (left) . The backing tracks were recorded into a Line6 DL4 looper on the same instrument right before the recording of each video. We used the Vemuram Jan Ray Pedal and a Greer Amp Ghetto Stomp for overdrive sounds. Tobias Hoffmann is a award winning guitar player from cologne, germany. Cool.. I had a 66 C.G. that belonged to my uncle. He got it for Xmas in 66 and was killed in Vietnam in Sept. 67. I was born in March 68 .. named after him. In 99 someone stole a 68 viberolux reverb, a ' 64 Stratocaster and my uncle's guitar from my house. I got the strat back, some Kids tried to pawn it and didn't know anything about it, which sent all the salesmans red flags up. Who has a 64 strat and don't know something of it's worth? Anyhow... the Gretch.. gone. Heartbreaking. I couldn't tell Dad. He died thinking I still have it. Love your picking.. reminds me o Grandpa.. not that youre dated lol just good pickin
