Friend Start on the opposite side and use the rotation to pull debris and vines away from the fence go counter clockwise around the property Great machine and video !!! God Speed!!
Highway mowing is absolutely the most terrifying job I've ever done. Cutting 85 ramps on the outskirts of Charlotte NC. I quickly declined the job after the 1st cut. As far as cutting in tight spots with a tractor, it's super easy with a 30hp compact tractor and a beefy 4ft bush hog. Just a whole lot of turning the wheel and learning how to get into the spots the easiest way.
This seems to be a really nice mower that could do some serious work. Thicker brush with more trees wouldn't slow it down much I don't think. The few times you accidentally run it in the ground it didn't even seem to bog it down at all. Talking about mowing along the highway, I worked for a guy at one time that had contracted with the state (nc) to mow the roadside. I ran a side arm mower cutting behind the ditch which means mow as far out as you can behind the ditch and cut down all the grass, brush, and trees you can and if its big trees mow the limbs off of them as high up as you can reach while keeping all tires on the asphalt. Most people acted like they had sense when they come up on me in that huge tractor in the middle of the road with all the flashing lights. They didn't slow down if the other lane was clear and they could get around me though. Some would get right up close to me where they bout couldn't see around and blow the horn and flip me off and drive like jackasses when they'd pass. When mowing limbs and brush back you have to make multiple passes back and fourth, I'd go forward so far then back up reposition higher and go again. I had cars pull right up behind me where they barely had room to go around me and when I'd stop to go backwards, put the tractor in reverse and start backing toward them so they'd understand and go around me they'd just sit there and act stupid for a minute. I had a standoff with a women (a Karen) for about five minutes one time with cars behind her going around both of us. I had backed up to let her know I was going to come backwards then went forward so she'd have room to pass me cause she was so close to begin with, motioned for her to go around, and she pulled up right behind me and she just sat there so I did too. She got out of her car and came up cussing me and I told her she was going to go around me like everyone else and I closed the door and throttled the tractor back up so I couldn't hear her. She stormed off back to her car and finally went around me but that all took about five minutes when all she had to do was go around me to begin with. Side roads were a breeze. The main roads, 55 mph+ roads; were the worst part but most of the time I felt safe. I had a few uncomfortable times and dumb people acting crazy but mostly it was ok. Good video as always. Stay well. -Wil 👍
That is quite the brush mower sir! That will serve you so well in the coming months/years. Thanks for the video. Hoping you and your family have a great holiday season!
Hey, Davin: Another great video. That cutter is a BEAST! It's an amazing machine, really is. I'm impressed by its capabilities. Coupled with the ASV, you've got quite a setup. I enjoy all of your videos, and this one was no exception.
If you like this enough, do you think you would buy it for your outfit? Overkillroy maybe? I see one design flaw with the way stuff bunches up in front. Instead of the flat front, I think the radius along the front should have a 1-2 inch angled up lip so if stuff tries to build up in front, it instead gets pushed down and into the blades. You should try and see if this cutter can be run in reverse because if it can, it could be useful if you are cutting in a place and you want what may be thrown, thrown in the opposite direction. Plus it could be useful if one side of the blade(s) get dull or damaged so that you could revers the rotation and keep going. The other problem is it doesn't look like it mulches up the grass very well after it cuts it down.
Pretty impressive Davin, it gives a nice finish as well. I remember you doing the second job originally. Looks better each time it’s done. Take care & cheers 🐨🦘🥰
I believe yah gotcha a keeper there, seems to do better and more well built. 5 🌟 video I will catch yah on the next one from Gaffney South Carolina viewer 🙏❤️💯
I figured that was what you were doing trying to cut that limb with the side of the machine. It worked. If you pick up one of those, are you going to sell one of the other cutters ?
Been a while since I watched you my neighbor has been getting a pool built in his backyard. Today he was out with a mini Kubota shovel replacing the surrounding area with dirt and gravel he had time on his machine he's welcome to my yard in any area he saught fit. I'm open destroy it push it around grab it up take it away I hope he gets the message you know I need help no one else seems to have gotten it
Okay my synopsis so far. I think this is an awesome rotary cutter. Those limbing teeth work great. I was surprised at how clean they went through. Looks like they take a little getting used to, but once you do you can limb to your hearts desire. Even at 30 GPM that is really cutting well. I wonder if that would still cut really well at 30 GPM in extremely dense broom straw or straw grass. No balling of grass is a big plus, and the fact that it doesn't shoot it so far is awesome. It did really well grinding up that deadfall. Also because those front corners are angled back a little you can really get onto those hanging vines a lot better. The only, and its slight, negative is that with those front corners angled back you throw a lot of cut brush into your uncut sections which means you're doing a lot of recutting. I had to laugh though yes I would agree your middle name should be overkill, but that's not a bad thing. My theory always is when you only have two choices go with the nuclear option.. I really cant wait to see this thing at 40 or 41 GPM it'll be lethal!
I have watch you cut this lot 3 times. Can't you pull that dam t post out? Why not use the multcher and grind that pine stump down? Point being , if you get rid of all the obstacles you can cut it faster with no worries
Obviously u have never used a 6ft Brush Wacker Brushhog with a 2:1 gear box attached to a 6500 Ford tractor pto , it will cut as low as 1.5 inches and also cut threw 3 inch thick wood- i ran one for 6.5 years working for the local parks&rec-
Actually no it wouldn't. It's only 63" wide compared to this which is 72" wide. This is much more efficient because it cuts almost a whole foot more per pass.
pretty sure that doing this sort of thing is his business. Yeah, if that was the only place he was clearing, it can be done with something smaller but if your business is to clear land, you want this done fast so you can move on to the next job.
A great job and a great machine best wishes from the UK
That brush cutter is awesome
X marks the spot, that is doing the best cut i have seen on the Tube, driver helps of course 👍👍👍👍👍
My money would definitely buy that brush cutter very nice clean cut 👍👍😎
Love it! Can't wait to see it going thru some real bush.
I've sold quite a few of these Mega X's since we introduced them. Love seeing it put to work by a professional!
The new mower seems quieter than your previous mower. Very nice setup! Best wishes.
Wow nice big cuts there. Love the machine.
So cool you are able to demo this mower/brush cutter
Nice job can’t wait to see more with that brush cutter.
Love the new machine.
I remember the hornets sorry but I laughed. Well done with new cutter .

Great video 🎉
Congratulations on your new mower hope it works out for you
Looks like the Mega Mower X is just the thing to keep a lot like that kept under control! Cool addition!

Good morning & God bless you
i’d say when you can order a new one add this to your tool belt. in my opinion it does a better cutting job then your current one you had been using?
That mega mower did an excellent job you should definitely look into getting one for yourself
For a big deck like that sure takes a long time 🎄🎄🎄

Wicked mower, you are going to get a lot better. Just drive in circles around trees. Nice trim teeth, great for vines & branches.
Pretty impressive Davin, it gives a nice finish as well. I remember you doing the second job originally. Looks better each time it’s done. Take care & cheers 🐨🦘🥰
First Munch!
I think that might be a good investment
it will be interesting to see how or if that rear discharge helps with overgrown lots...
Shaving with a fresh blade!
I believe yah gotcha a keeper there, seems to do better and more well built. 5 🌟 video I will catch yah on the next one from Gaffney South Carolina viewer 🙏❤️💯
Great job, looking awesome!
Thank you so much 😀

You have the best toys!

Really cuts nice
I think it’s new nickname should be “Slingblade” 😂
Good video brother. Man that cutter is almost better than the MTL
I have watch you cut this lot 3 times. Can't you pull that dam t post out? Why not use the multcher and grind that pine stump down? Point being , if you get rid of all the obstacles you can cut it faster with no worries
Yes I remember this lot and the hornets that chased you and were hitting the windows of your cab.
Is it my imagination or does this lot look a bit better every time you mow it? 🙂
That brush cutter don't play around, it's serious
You need to watch Devin in a real Jungle. Something that is 8' an 10' feet tall.
👍👍
Watch out munchie, there's someone stepping on your territory

OH NO! you got it dirty and scratched. lol. Man, we can't have anything nice. That unit looks like it gives a nice cut
You keep on hitting that Big Old Stump. Eventually you will make it gone if you keep on hitting it Devin.
overpower here but good job, i want to see in real action! XD
W ould like to see you remove and scrap that old trailer frame if possible on that first lot.
I used to work for
A contractor that mowed
The highway grass I got
Paid by hour and by
With of mower
so what is your middle name? danger overkill would actually be a cool name on a sidenote
What’s the price on the brush cutter?
$9500 - $12600
Whole lot more coverage better work
Mulch head would’ve been faster and better
Actually no it wouldn't. It's only 63" wide compared to this which is 72" wide. This is much more efficient because it cuts almost a whole foot more per pass.
@@idigit4967 Thank you, I appreciate the education because I was only looking at carnage that it creates.
No need a such a big machine for this land
..

I’m not sure how you make money cutting this lot. I could have cut that in half the time with my ford 3600 an a 6’ bushog
He only appears slow because the camera is not in hyperspeed.
You did two good JOB'S way to go
