Fun fact about the American actor that plays Furio. While traveling in Europe, he went to some antique shop that had a lot of paintings. He was flipping through some laying against the wall and discovered one that he thought was from a famous Renaissance painter. He offered to buy it, but was told it was going to auction. Wound up winning it for something like $40k. Had it appraised and restored and it is now valued $10 million. I believe it is currently on rotation in major museums.
This is like the time I found a limited edition charizard card at a yard sale for $1, after grading it was valued at $76.
@@JackCraft-tm9hjkind of a similar thing. i went to my moms house to pick up something and ended up searching old boxes. i found a forgotten copy of def jam fight club for the ps2. the game can sell up to $200 now. edit: def jam fight for ny
@@kluneberg8952 Damn I had Def jam too, good game
The guy smoking in the outdoor cafe that Paulie spoke to is David Chase himself.
Wtf??? I never knew that and that scene lives rent free in my head for how funny it is
@@SleepParty30 if there’s a show or movie you really like get the dvd and check for commentary tracks. They reveal so much. :-)
I love that cameo so much.
Yep - Classic David Chase Cameo
Commendatore!
Furio is not a bad translator, he was being diplomatic.
Tony wasn't shocked at the violence, he was impressed, that's why he made a deal to take Furio with him.
Tony was referring to Dr.Melfi, not Livia, when speaking to Annalisa in the caves.
It wasn't so much the violence that impressed him; it was Furio being prepared to take a bullet for the old boss without any hesitation.
"You remind me of someone back home" was about Melfi, not his mom. Melfi told him he's his own worst enemy.
Also, when she says "your girlfriend" and he says "oh i got one" he's not bragging, he's annoyed that she just assumed he had one.
Tony wasn't shocked about Furio slapping and being so tough on the kid lighting the fireworks, he was actually very impressed by what he saw! Paulie, of all people, was the one who was shocked and sticking up for the kid.
Then why did he say "he's just a kid, those are only firecrackers!"
@@johnnyskinwalker4095 Paulie is the one who said that, so what is your question? you're agreeing with me! That's exactly what I said, Paulie is the one who stuck up for the kid.
@@andrewkelley434 I stand corrected but I'm thinking since he grew up in the same environment as Paulie, he must have thought it was too much too. But at the same time be impressed. lol
Tony was impressed by how Furio shielded Don Vittorio with his own body when he thought someone was shooting at them. Not him slapping some kid.
Thanks Mary, I'm enjoying your Sopranos reactions, thanks for putting them on RUclips.
I think the problem with Puss and his wife basically only happened since he left and returned cause the fact that he is with the FBI is making him lose his mind. They were a happy couple before all this. When something happens in a couple, you don't turn tail in run. There can be a lot of issues and problems but you have to stick around and make it work first. Of course there are points of no returns. But when there are issues, it's important to talk about them first. But since he's with the FBI, Puss cannot talk about it. In real life, in a situation like this, a sit down would be good, saying "what is going on with you lately?", etc...You see can when she talks to him about the cancer being negative his mind is completely out like he barely listen to what she is saying. Not because he's a jerk but because stress has made him think about a gazillion of things and he is simply not there mentaly.
Furio is one of my favorite characters on this show
I wish they did more with him
Give me one thousand dollars.
I think the reason that Carmela was telling Angie not to divorce was because then it would sort of prove what Janice was saying was right about the men they married. It would force Carmela to introspect instead of just going along with how her life has been all these years
He couldn't take Carmella to Italy during football season because they are busy with their illegal sports betting business. Betting on football is very popular. It was illegal in most states then. Still is in a lot of states now.
i dont think the woman boss reminded Tony of his mom, I think she reminded him of Melfi. They were talking about psychology right before he brought it up.
I did not realize until today, David Chase makes a cameo with Paulie XD in this episode.
Buckle up Mary, this season's drama are just getting started!
This episode always makes me want to go back to Naples and southern Italy in general!
3:29 you’re wrong; he’s talkin about Dr Melfi
When I trim my toenails and finger nails I put them in the compost which goes into our organic garden . So there is a little bit of me in our garden soil . It seems appropriate to me .
If you notice, in this episode there are various allusions to NATO not being welcomed there, in the graffiti and even that random guy Paulie passes by talks to him about it. None of this was planned by the show, that's the real result of the country being up in arms against NATO after a low flying US military aircraft cut the cable of a cable car resulting in the death of 20 people in 1998.
It's bizarre that James Gandolfini ended up dying in Italy a number of years after The Sopranos ended.
Furio is an awesome character, one of the best in the whole series.
Awesome reaction of my favorite The Sopranos episode!!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊
Remember that ending. Many many episodes ahead you’ll find out what Carmela was thinking in that ending. At the rate you’re going it will be a year away but remember it.
You asked if mob wives can get divorced. Maybe a better question is... would a mob wife be allowed to testify in a courtroom without disappearing mysteriously the day before??
I don’t really know if it’s been done. How is a mob wife supposed to get a divorce settlement without legal people poking around their finances??
Mob wives know almost nothing about mob violence but they know about money stuff. Carmela knows a lot about some of Tony’s money scams. My guess is only if the mob wife flipped or just ran far away & got divorced in abstentia wanting no settlement would a divorce be possible. I guess we’ll see how mobs deal with divorce down the road.
WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN!!!
Suggestion for the future and a more realistic depiction of the Camorra (Neapolitan mafia): Gomorrah.
Your impersonation of Tony's mother is excellent.
I thought the joke was that he didnt know which one was the bidet and which one was the toilet? 🤔

is this turning into a TV reaction channel? there's barely any movies now. not a fan.
RUclips has been giving me so many issues with movie reactions while it’s been way easier to put out shows. I want to go back to more movies in the future, but for right now I needed a break from fighting the copyright problems all the time.
Livia was terrible but Janice is even worse.
Is she? In what way? Livia set up a hit on her son. Not saying Janice is a good person but kill your own kid because he pit you in a retirement community that costs 4k a month?
@@russellward4624 Janice is a good person? What planet do you live on? She is a bottom feeding passive aggressive narcissist. Good person. You have to be a troll. good one. You got me.
And Livia did have dementia so some of her actions could be attributed to her cognitive decline.
Nah. Janice is a piece of work, but she's not a monster.
@@norwegianblue2017 We can agree to disagree and I don't want to put spoilers on here but she has every bit of her mother in her. And she named her kid Harpo so she has that going against her.
