I'm glad you decided to start making videos again .. for a while I thought you had changed directions and maybe taken a different path.. glad I was wrong.. just got your 2 t-shirts last week and they rock.. Thank you for these videos my Friend because I don't know anyone else producing outdoor herping that come near what you are doing w/your crew.. stay enthused guys and you'll never get old
Another banger, such marvelous specimens in this part of the world. I, too, am enamored with those odd worms. Watching them consume prey is fascinating. The krait is stunning, and while not desirable, it was useful information to observe its regurgitated meal.
Yup! Obviously I didn’t want it to regurgitate, and if I’d known I wouldn’t have let it come to that, but it was an interesting and valuable observation.
Regurg sux, but I agree the data gained from it is substantially valuable. Keep up the awsome content my friend, you & Rupert both continue to put out some of the best herp videos on any platform!!
David- have you been herping in the Southern US? The place I grew up is in the mountains of Alabama and there are barely any people around. Completely wild and abundance of, well, anything you could think of. I've found so many bizarre and beautiful "creatures". Anyways, great video!
Awesome video!! Keep up the great herping!! I've heard Hammer head worms are very valuable in some Thai religious beliefs. They say you'll get luck when you pick it up with a 1000thb bill. I think some people even keep them dried up.
Interesting finds. Thanks. Suggestion: maybe also give the common names to snakes eaten by the Krate. I got the green one, but the digested snake you only gave the scientific name. Some of us dont speak Latin!
Thanks! Was considering not posting it, but it is what it is. Trying to give you the most realistic representation of my adventures, and that includes the unplanned parts.
So as a follower in NA… does the pink-headed reed snake eat the hammerhead worms as well as earthworms?? Hammerheads are invasive in NA, and have no natural preds in many parts. Is this true over there too?
Once a snake eats it's not nearly as mobile, the same as if you've eaten a very large meal. In order to escape rapidly what they deem a threat, one will regurgitate to be more limber.
What a waste of an appetizer and entrée 😒I hope she got dessert 😏 those hammerhead flat worms are another thing invading N America 🤢 that little guy was cute, with the pointy, pink head and white belly.....don't be a bully David 😉 Rupert we know youa great hunter of 🐍 🐍 you need not remind us🤣🤣🤣Sorry guys, I'm exhausted too.....covid19 @5:30am haven't slept yet😮💨😪🤤😬Seriously too bad about the regurg! I always hate to see that, some snakes have to really work at meals. It was very interesting though and to see two snakes that were obviously eaten not that far apart....definitely had an appetizer 😉 living vicariously through you boys and loving it....wish me luck I'm on to Shawnee national forest in a couple weeks to visit the migration @snake road😁🥰 Congrats Harry😉
So weird ppl don't have Redheaded Kraits in their collections. Atleast I haven't seen any. Do they not do well in captivity? Beautiful snake. Sorry bout ur meal Mr/Mrs Krait, but really cool to see you.. Top 10 in my book for sure.
Regurgitating doesn't hurt animal? Not sure about that I've seen animals such as kingsnakes perish because of damage due to Regurgitating, scar tissue begins to build and then can cause the animal not to be able to swallow prey items
@@Micheldied yeah and I think most people don't believe this is a problem but regurgitation is very bad for snakes, yeah one time MAY not be the end of it but it really doesn't take much to cause big issues for the animal
@@DAVIDSFEED I thought that most snakes who regurgitate a meal will usually go off food for a short time because of the process of regurgitation and what it requires of the animal in order to do so? The best example I’ve seen was a captive King Cobra who regurgitated a prior meal and then refused two consecutive feedings in a row afterwards. In that video the individual was simply moving the snake to a garbage pail to clean the enclosed the following day, but when they went to return the snake to the clean enclosure they found it had regurgitated the snake it had eaten the night before. The handler believed the snake just got stressed. From what your saying they don’t always go off food afterwards, but in the King Cobra video I had seen, the snake skipped the next two feedings. Maybe the type of snake matters, and Kraits return to feeding faster than a King Cobra might? I’ve noticed that stress can have all sorts of effects on snakes, and that might have explained what I watched? 🐍🦎🤷♂️
Bruh is it really necessary to to use the scientific names? Just makes you sound pretencious and takes away from the entertainment value of the videos.... Be much better to explain their behaviour etc than just flex your knowledge of their latin names.... I mean wtf for?
I'm so glad that data is being moved forward as to be a natural history note!
Great Episode and thanks for keeping the part in with the fed headed krait. It is so valuable in terms of education
The content of this video guys was awesome can’t wait to see more thanks for sharing and keep up the good work
Thanks for watching Frank!
Now I love Fridays.. Not just because of your videos, I'm off and drunk
Hahahaha
That black and green snake with blue in between was freakin gorgeous!!!!!
thanks David for another amazing video!! and thanks also for disassembling the snare....you saved a animal from death by strangulation!!
Yup, whenever I find traps in the forest I always destroy them.

David is obviously so impressed with the Pink-Headed Reed Snake. 🤣
🤣🤣🤣
God I Loved Red Headed Krait so bad 🤩🤩🤩🤩... so F Beautiful...
It actually can be harmful for a snake to regurgitate it's meal if it happens too often.
Great 👌 content and beautifully presented
Great video, I appreciate your transparency. What a lovely Krait.

@@DAVIDSFEED I once injured an adder in 1975, I was too eager to stop it going through a hole in a fence.
Great video!!!
The reed snake looks very similar to the stiletto snake from Africa. Just lacking those cool fangs n venom
Nice video! Big fan from Myanmar

why do snakes regurgitate a meal...is it sick or from fear..or what...if anyone can help me....I really don't know....thank you

are those snares illegal? I know some forms of snares are legal trapping devices.
I don’t know and don’t care, I’m taking them down regardless.
@@DAVIDSFEED oh.... you are one of those. please self redact
U guys don't kick it with Chris no more?
Any reason why you wouldn't keep a red-headed crate
I just got my first "pet" snake. it's a Kenyan sand boa, she has a derpy little face it's so cute
Cant he eat it back when throwing up the meal ?
Hammerhead worm looked cool!
Wait what if the pit viper ate the smaller snake regurg that while getting eaten by the krait then the krait, regurg the regurg.
God damn it's amazing data about flaviceps
Lol the calamaria segment was hilarious
Yup, an unfortunate event but also really interesting data.
lol , the poacher will be wondering where his trap went
Good. Hahah
@@DAVIDSFEED Yeah s__t hot man, thats so rad, cool & Boss, you guys are so bitchin ass freakin awesome!!! Rippit good!!🤐
Failure to capture a fusitamorpho benedictus or funitaxtaraillius is just unacceptable

There are a few ppl that keep these. They aren’t too hard to keep but they usually don’t withstand shipping across the world very well.
@@DAVIDSFEED gotcha 👌 thx man. You guys got some cool shit out there. Love the videos man
I’m so tired that everything is ridiculously funny loool i feel that
Well well well. Very interesting video!

Me: They named as snake after a drink MARGARITA
🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@DAVIDSFEED Hell yeah go DAVIDSFEED I love the content
It looks like bamboo pit viper

That lil Reed snake reminds me of a stiletto snake
Now that you mention it, they do look relatively similar.
Have anyone been to there trips?.
Regurgitating doesn't hurt animal?
Not sure about that I've seen animals such as kingsnakes perish because of damage due to Regurgitating, scar tissue begins to build and then can cause the animal not to be able to swallow prey items
It definitely can. I've seen plenty of species die from regurgitation.

Yes definitely possible, I’ve seen snakes re-eat regurgitated meals before.
