The algorithm just randomly threw up the video for me, but it's nice to see that I can see replicas of the original Hungarian hussar uniform all over the world. For us Hungarians, it is makes our hearts flutter.

The 5 bodyguards of The Queen that walk along with the carriage should dress in ''formal uniform or ceremony uniform'' because it is not a disguise mission but it is a ceremony mission, and beside everyone know they are the bodyguard, they just ruin the ceremony by dressing like that because they are in the eyes focus of the ceremony [ The Queen and the Carriage ].
@vickyRoyalHistory Agree, sad times indeed. But the reason for them is actually that the royal guards technically have no jurisdiction on the road. (Wouldn't stop then from protecting the queen anyways of course). Therefore the police is needed. The royal guards are soldiers and only have jurisdiction on military areas. The royal residences are military areas for that exact reason.
@vickyRoyalHistory I have watched a video of that incident. The guy is lucky to be alive. When the Danish Queen travel by car it's a large convoy of cars and bikes. Many police officers and bodyguards. When she is traveling by carriage (Usually not that far) she is escorted by the Guard Hussars armed with sabres, and the PET bodyguards, presumably armed with pistols. Sometimes the convoy is lead by police bikes or police horses. The royal guards at the residences are armed with rifles fitted with a 10-round mag (easier for handling the rifle) and extra 30-round mags in the pouch. The Danish Royal Guards and Guard Hussars are not only defending the queen, they also participate in international missions and have been in Afghanistan etc. During the wars.

They´re not military. That´s why they´re not in uniform.
They don't have a formal uniform. They are not royal lifeguards, they are PET (Police Intelligence Service) bodyguards.
