It is better to be alone than to feel lonely in a relationship, than to be in the company of wrong friends and if it threatens your peace, well being and happiness

Even though i'm an introvert, I feel like we are truly social creatures. Solitude is enjoyable when you know it is not 'forever' and that there are friends and family you can spend time with when you want. A sense of belonging is important. Connection.

Exactly! Solitude is only enjoyable when you know it's not forever, but when you don't have friends, or only be able to meet a friend once in a few months, enjoyable solitude has become extreme loneliness. That is my case. To me, this monk hasn't really experienced true loneliness and try to teach people about how to face loneliness.

This is one message I need for my whole life. Being an introvert, I often feel lonely. I use to think its because of me, my attitude, my way of thinking, and also because I can't stand small talks. But the truth is everyone is different and unique in their own way, you can only be you, not someone else. If this is how you're meant to be than that's how you will. Loneliness is beautiful only if you look at it in a way for you to be you yourself. Turning inwards ❤️. Thanks for this 🙏

Took me 45 years to understand the difference between loneliness and solute. It took me 45 years to understand being alone is an opportunity to work on yourself, study, learn, develop skill sets, exercise, and challenge your mind, body, and spirit. Its funny I no longer feel lonely when I am alone. But on rare occasions while at work I feel lonely around people. But I am starting to realize what I am doing wrong now and watching your video now makes so much more sense.

My sister has tonnes of friends. All friends she met in primary school, senior school, college, work etc are still close friends of her. I never had large cliques of friends. I always had a few close friends. And my friends walked away from my time to time. My mother ridiculed me since I was a kid, that I'm so friendless. Meanwhile, my sister was admired for having so many friends. She said that if trouble comes, there'll be no one to help me. However I have survived to be 39 now. In this country, people always do things in large groups. Solitary people like me are looked upon as failures. We are made to feel as if we were failures. But we are only being ourselves, responding to how others treat us, our way. That's all. Thank you for this video and for the confirmation that being solitary is a good thing too.

I thoroughly understand my beautiful man has been now gone five years, and I really had to start from scratch. I did some counselling with others that experienced loss that did help. I found that others that went through the same experience had much to share one day at a time with source in my heart has made me so much stronger and I’m totally grateful to be here. Every day there are thousands that never woke up like truly is a gift.😃

Thank you dear monk🙏🙏. I actually feel loneliness from childhood because my interest and habits were different from virtually all my peers. For instance, I am perhaps the only one among my entire class who takes Buddhism seriously. I have been a vegetarian from middle school on, and nobody else understood how I could have almost all my meals without meat. I understand that I will have to face loneliness, and my belief in Buddhism never changed. Thank you for telling me that I must hold the key to happiness in my hand🙏🙏

Nobody is born budhist or some other religion… it’s the decision you make to be on right path, right thinking just like Buddha.. budha isn’t God… he only gave teaching for life.. teaching of life’s truth and only truth…… this is us people who don’t understand his simple teaching, easy teaching…. We are engaged in worldly desire’s and GOD like things.. we need to just come out of it and focus on self motivation and improvement…….. anyone can follow budhas teaching…..it’s for everyone born………….. yeah if you feel happy to be born into family which already followed budhism…….. then you are just blessed my friend…………🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Today was a difficult day, but this is going to help me in some ways.
I’m in a learning mode I try to learn the best I can from the good and bad days.
Life is a gift in the end of the day, doesn’t matter in what situation you are, you are lucky to be alive and the rest of the issues in life shouldn’t be all your life it’s just part of it, don’t let that part represent or reflect you. Don’t let that little part be all you.
