liquidreality great comment g I totally agree it’s sad af what happened I’m just happy they are still successful it’s way too many times things like this happened and the artists go broke and bad things happen to them and it’s a great thing that it didn’t go that way even tho they aren’t together anymore these guys are so real and deserve more than they have they were so underrated and weren’t given the props they deserved but at least they are all still doing their thing I still fuck with em all even Joe’s podcast is great even tho he ain’t doing music anymore I still support him it’s a good podcast but yeah it’s definitely heartbreaking that they didn’t get bigger music and group wise they for sure get what they deserved but shit it’s all good keep it movin 🙏👍

100% Facts. Tells you all you need to know, even about what happened recently. Love Royce, but he clearly is in his feelings and was ignoring the details in the name of staying neutral. That, or this is all a big genius rollout...but that is crazy, even for Joe. Just obvious who blew this all up for lack of caring and always having to have things their way, and running into others who just don't lay down for that BS. Happens often, just not at this level/broadcasting.

Speaking on the comments made by Joe on Em "riding the wave of Black Lives Matter" and using it for his "own benefit". Me being heavily involved with BLM from 2014 - 2018 from Detroit to Ferguson, then on to Baltimore, Charlottesville and back to Detroit again, prior to Em's BET rant at Trump and then the release of Revival, I was constantly hearing (I'm guessing me being white and from Detroit is why I was always having these questions and/or comments brought to me)..."Your boy Eminem is nothing but a culture vulture" - "The ONE white Rapper who could speak up and say something doesn't give a fuck about us" - "Eminem's silence speaks volumes on where he stands with the black community who made him rich".
Fast forward to Marshall telling his entire fanbase to fuck off if they support a racist like Trump, him voicing his support for Colin Kaepernick and Revival's *Untouchable* and *Like Home*...after each one of these were released to the public, he ended up having his ass handed to him for doing exactly what he was having his ass handed to him for NOT doing and though it was coming at him from every direction, I couldn't believe my own goddamn ears when I heard Budden say what he said.
When he was publicly bashed after he DID speak out I then started to understand why he stayed silent for so long (though I knew these viral videos and every new breaking news story of yet another outright murder of an unarmed black man had him in a rage equal to my own)...he already knew he'd be condemned whether he said anything or not and that him speaking out would be a lose/lose situation...and that's exactly what it turned into.
Being a part of BLM I've received A LOT of this myself and have spent countless nights arguing within my own head as to "What the fuck are you doing? Are you going to keep showing up only to be asked 'Who invited Becky?' or just stay the fuck home and deal with the shit these cops are handing to your nephews and worry about no one else but them and only them?"...aside from people only seeing a white woman show up at a protest, not knowing I have four bi-racial nephews that I consider more like sons than I do nephews, and who I'm equally terrified for every. single. day. of. my. goddamn. life (one of which has already been profiled and harrassed countless times over the last five years and the older he's getting the worse this shit gets)...the good far outweighed the bad, so I kept myself involved and continued showing up at every protest I could...and the one who helped me above anything or anyone else to keep going was the now desperately missed, Erica Garner. On the many occasions I felt like throwing in the towel, it was this woman's private and sometimes public words to me that kept me heading in the right direction.
But one thing I will never understand, especially from someone like Budden who once called Marshall a friend is...if white silence equals white consent, wtf do you want him to do, Joe? Stay silent or speak the fuck up? There's no middle ground here. It's one way or the other, so what Joe wanted or expected of Em will forever leave me dumbfounded.
I apologize for the long rant but when I can't wrap my head around shit it literally drives me nuts...and with allllllll of this said, I'm going to listen to Revival regardless of who it pisses off.
    Sincerely,
Just Another Voice In The Crowd

Also just wanted to add that the Slaughterhouse Our House is one of the most underrated albums and hip hop if not the most underrated album. That album has something for everyone. If you were a fan of lyrics, of super emcees, it had that if you like beats, it had that, I was shocked when the singles for that album came out and I only heard slaughterhouse on the radio one time and I travel the country for a living and besides shade 45s channel there was one night in Raleigh North Carolina that this song ‘ My Life’ came on one night at 11:30 at night and that was the only time I ever heard any of their songs played on the radio. You can tell they put a lot of hard work into that album and for the people that actually listen to that album that are real fans of hip-hop they know that album was fire. I don’t think it was Eminem‘s fault or shady records fault, I blame Interscope Really in the last 10 years the only artist that Interscope Has really gotten behind is Kendrick Lamar and Eminem. If they would’ve gotten behind that album and promoted it the right way I think that album would’ve been looked at as a classic today. The problem was if you weren’t a slaughterhouse fan then you didn’t even know the album dropped. Never saw anything on MTV or BET, no magazine covers, no billboards, Didn’t push for any of the singles to be played on the radio, the only way you could even see the music videos was RUclips and everyone and their mother has music videos on RUclips now. What’s crazy is when they didn’t have an album out it seems like slaughterhouse was doing more precious than they did when the album came out. There is six years there were slaughterhouse we’re going to radio station and it seemed all over the country doing interviews about Glasshouse And I felt bad for him because you can tell the last set of interviews they all did together that they didn’t even want to be there because I don’t think they felt like the album was going to ever come out.

It’s funny reading the comments by some while Crook was talking lol, defending Joe, with exactly what he said on his podcast lol.
Em didn’t promote any of them as a solo artist, because they were signed as a group. They were all on separate solo deals. Also putting slaughterhouse on Bunch of songs as features and doing the BET cyphers, was the best kind of promotion he could’ve done.
Idk it’s a shame that they only did what 2-3 albums together as Slaughterhouse

Now that some time has passed it’s been a few years since all this happened and especially with what Crooked and Ortiz are doing on their own with the rise and fall of slaughterhouse and everything that’s come to light, I think it was a mix of Joe never really liking Eminem for whatever reason and also he just didn’t want to be in a group anymore. Because since this video was made we found out that they got off shady and then they went to Jo and said all right can we do an album now and he still didn’t want to do it. Every issue that man had with Doing another album they spent years spending their free time trying to make something happened and he still doesn’t want to.

  • @TheJasmineChannell
    @TheJasmineChannell 6 лет назад +24

They should’ve took all Joes vocals off glass house & put the album out without him it’s not like He was the Beyoncé of the group, be clear slaughterhouse did not NEED joe, then they should’ve sued him for breach of contact you can’t just up & leave a group like ain’t no legal binding agreements involved, so basically glass house didn’t come out & slaughterhouse broke up because joe handled his business like a female toddler instead of a grown man. Oh. Ok.

The fact that they never thought to do that tells you everything you need to know about how important joe was to the group!! He wasnt the dopest lyrically, but he was the soul of the group....and I doubt any one of them would deny that

I think there are more ppl voting than just slaughterhouse. I mean how many ppl were involved in this voting process? It absolutely had to be more than just Royce Crook Joel em and budden. Had to be at least 3 or 4 more if not a fuck ton of ppl. All they had to do was make a grimy album. Em kept thinking that he could reach his own fans through them. In oder to do that you would have to jump on that inspirational train the "I'm not afraid's" and the soft shit hes been doing. That's how you get girls. Reach the girls, track the big boy money. Unfortunately the entire fan base was more lyrically and grimy/real type hip hop inclined.

Fact is, Em is for real when he say fuxx Trump and bring bacc C. KAP. He was never because he was boosting his fan base strictly cuz he was tryin to be acting like he was speaking for the Blacc community. I can't believed people called Em a culture Vulture and saying he was doing it for the money on his free style and all.
Plus that wasn't the first time Em has gone at the president and Government. He parodied Bill Clinton in My name is, his first single on his debut album. He even went at Bill in scary movies and touched on the whole Monica Lewinsky scandal. Then on role model (SSLP) he called out Bill's hypocrisy and attacked Hillary as well.
He got political with White America by calling out the hypocrisy of the government.
Then on Encore, Em's "worst" album, He went at George Bush on two songs. We as Americans and Mosh.
Even Immortal technique sampled Eminem's Patiently waiting on his bin laden track.
Then on Relapse he made fun of Sarah Palin in two songs, we made you and Taking my ball.
Em has always been blunt on popular culture and politics, because he knows his hip hop roots. To speak against what you feel and what you say.
I would have not heard about King crooked, Joe and Joel if it wasn't for shady records. Royce was known prior on his own and also with bad meets evil.
I've been a fan since Our house and I follow their solo projects as well. Em has bought us all lyrical guys consistently. Even now with WS boogie, Griselda.
