For most users (like me), that'll be all they need. For users with more sophisticated demands/needs, if this video doesn't get you there, HIRE this guy to help you out ...
This guy is awesome. I was happy to see he had a video for the Inkbird ITC-608T. I grow mushrooms and his videos have helped me with my PID controller and now the Inkbird temp & humidity controller.

For any controller with a binary / on-or-off output you can exceed its max amperage rating by using the controller to switch an external relay, or even multiple relays. In fact when I set up an expensive environment controller some years ago I used an external relay on the heater output from the get go even though it was rated high enough for the heater. I figured switched a relay with a minuscule draw would be a lot kinder on the circuitry than switching the full 2500W.
Yes, I did buy one for my 'home made' still and was hoping that it would be accurate down to .01 degrees but I will most certainly be good with 1 degree instead.

Thanks George for all your information. I have a question but I’ll set it up first. I bought a wood fired furnace that sits in my backyard and connects to my house with an insulated PEX pipe. My house is heated with a hot water system. I added a heat exchanger to transfer heat from the wood furnace, with a circulating pump to take away the heat. I purchased two inkbird PID controllers mainly because of cost. With one I want to control the pump to cycle the pump to bring the gas boiler up to temp. The second I want to monitor the wood furnace to shut down the pump if the fire goes out and the gas boiler goes online it prevents the heat from exchanging back to the wood boiler. I don’t think I need PID. I think I just need to run in on/off mode. My question is; is that correct? Do you have any information on using that mode? I have looked on inkbirds website and read the instructions and do not find anything.
The probes are threaded if you have the same ones I have. They normally fit directly into the rubber bung that caps off the top of the column. If not you could drill a small hole and insert it. There are many ways to do this but your particular set-up will dictate how you need to proceed.

I bought this for my grow tent, I own a LEVOIT Humidifiers for Bedroom, 4L Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier, when the set humidity reaches the point the humidifier does not power up, I have to click the button on the base. Is there a certain humidifier that will work with this?
I see the decimal points on the box, but I can’t seem to set to 99.5, I’m using for an incubator. Do I need to set to 100 and use the “temp difference” to drop the half degree? Won’t that also heat to 100.5 before turning off then too? Just got mine in the mail and trying to figure it out...

So if I plug my 1300-1500 watt milk house heater up to the first plugin it'll basically keep my pump house from freezing and busting. While also saving me some money do to the heater not running just to run.
I use a 80 ltr plastic storage container 100w fish tank heater and a small fish tank pump that keeps my temp spot on just pop you demijon or fermenting buck

I bought this thing to control a small space heater and a humidifier. But when I have them both plugged in the unit does not supply power to anything regardless of the heat or RH setting. If I unplug one of the sensors it supplies power to the remaining unit plugged in. I need this to be able to control humidity and heat for my plants as the demand darkness and I can't be jumping in there to adjust a space heater.

Not a big fan of these types, mainly due to the probe. Most you're not even able to switch it.
