So what's the difference between this senior 5 stars and the senior sterling? It's really a big difference between them? Like the blades? Because the motor are the same, the housing is different, but the blades are different? Or what's the difference?

Just wondering about your school. I had zero experience going to school last month and day one they threw me on the floor expecting me to know what I was doing. I have been there a month and only cut maybe 7-8 heads. Nearly all have been even all the way around, mostly kids. Did your school teach you how to do tapers, then you work on it for a few weeks, then fades for a few weeks, etc? Then after you can show them how to do it they let you accept all the cuts? I just feel like putting me on the floor without teaching any basics set me up for failure. I ordered that vick the barber dvd but it hasn't showed up yet. I walk around watch and ask question but I need to get hands on.
+Nick Pier Don't expect anyone to teach you how to cut. Look everywhere you can and study every cut you see. Walk into every cut faking like you know how. Practice the techniques you see. Accept the fact ahead of time that you WILL jack some heads up. If they come to the school, thats the chance they take. They are aware of it. I have no fear about trying what I see on the school's clients. I always try to do my best, but if i am going to mess them up, i'd rather it be at school not in the shop after i'm graduated... Just my take on it.

Get a second set of seniors and keep those taper blades on, they remove bulk more efficiently 👍

The blade you have on your clipper is it the one that came with it or did you have to buy the fade blade ? Where do I buy one like the one you have . I bought my wahl 5 star seniors from Amazon, wondering if it's the same blade or need to buy a newer blade to make my fades better. I am also a new barber trying to make it .
it looks like a surgical blade to me but it might be the wahl fade blade. but im used too the andis one comin real close

Did any of you get new Senior 5 stars that were scratched ?
can anyone explain to me why there are two types of 5 stars senior? the one with withe letters and Red stars and the one with Grey letters and stars... what's the difference between then?
+Daniel da Cunha Augusto The one with the letters and red stars rubbed off kind of like the wahl seniors (not 5 star). Wahl re-vamped the senior covers and the 5 star senior covers so that the writing wouldn't come off. They are now laser engraved or embossed or something. Either way the writing does not come off over time now, and it also has a fantastic new metallic finish over the cover that definitely makes them look awesome.
i hate that the guard caddy doesn't fit the .5 and 1.5 blade
