yes it was chilly in East TN the wind was making my eyes water. well I didn't win that motor at Bk hobbies tonight but it was fun seeing all y'all in there. are you going to Orlando? I might actually break out of my shell and run down there. Great flying by the way, I wish I got all the different helicopters you get to fly!! you keep getting better and I keep following along! Later !
@@mykel1969 it’s definitely chilly today! 32 in middle TN, I was hoping you where going to win that motor! I was hoping you would win! It’s definitely great to be able to build and fly all these different helis! I was really hoping to make it to Orlando. It’s the same weekend as my birthday so I probably won’t make it but I’m going to try! I appreciate it buddy! Thank you!
Great flight and nice build series. Would you mind doing a video on what you’re looking for on the cyclic gains and you tuning them ? What’s ideal for this style of 3d?
Xnova 4520? Or did you mean 4020? Thankyou for the commentary in flight, what did you mean by the cyclic gains turn down at the 3:30 mark? The craft was too snappy on the right stick? Oh I got my plan 'D' Vulcan blades today for the Gemini. I still want the Switch Blades for it to see how they compare to the intended primary RTU's; which are nice and floaty feeling btw. I check BK several times a day.
@@kajuta240 sorry! I went 4025 lol cyclic gain was to high and it would wobble under stops. RotorTech Ultimate blades are great! They are my second favorite blade. So I talked to Bert yesterday, he is waiting on the factory to make switch blades. No ETA at the moment, hopefully soon!
It's exactly what drove me to buying an RS5 as well. Also I can get my parts for it on the same store as my other helis. The fit and finish of this kit is incredible. Highly recommend it
@theslipperywhale2681 I've heard great things from most who've flown them. I'm not good enough for to notice a difference anyway haha. The rs5 is right up my alley
And actually kinda glad now on the delay of Raw vs. Gemini; I want to see how this will stack against them. Dont rush into the Nimbus V2; Im apparently not the only one on discord and forums who had issues with the quality control. More people need to stand up and be vocal, companies would actually start to improve rather than keep getting away with it.
that video should actually come out Monday. I just have to finish editing it. But I will do one with this as well, I never had any issues with the original ex that I built. It actually went together perfectly with no problems whatsoever, but I haven’t done a new one. A lot of times companies, depending on who they are will not take advice from people…. OMP…. But if they are a good company, they should listen to their supporters and they make changes for the better.
@@westhobbiesrc8051 ^_^ I too picked up that of of OMP representatives in the discord that I interact with. Even showing proof just leads to arguments, deflection and denial. You are frustratingly closer to being able to piroflip, you should dedicate 1 night a week to the sim for that, it will open you to soooo many new cool moves like piro circuits, piro ticktocks, piro funnels etc.
That RS5 looks great, nice flying. I'm trying to choose between a Goosky RS5 / Goblin Raw 580 / Soxos Strike 6.1. I'm curious if you have any advice or even an opinion for building my first 550/600 size out of those three options? I'd ask local but I'm the only one flying Heli's at my club (or surrounding), trying to start something here! so any info is welcome.
You are the man, great flying sir, love the color, really stands out.
Thank you! I greatly appreciate it! The color is amazing. It pops even better in person.
Been watching a bunch of your heli videos. Thanks for the info. Bought my 1st heli about a month ago. Ready for a bigger chopper now
Nice flight Jeff, and your right the RS5 flies awesome 👍👍👍
Thank you! It sure does, I was surprised!
First thing I noticed was the contrast between the top and the bottom of the rotor disc, I like that😊. These old eyes ain’t so good no more😂
The color scheme is great and the switch blades have a really good viability to them!
Nice flight! Btw thanks for uploading in 4k now, really betters the viewing experience!
Man the color scheme looks incredible.
It pops! The video does not do it justice!
Epic jeff, great video as always, buddy.ive learnt tons from yourself. Keep them coming. Happy Christmas 👍🏻🚁
Thank you! I greatly appreciate it I’m glad the videos are helpful and you could learn from them! Merry Christmas to you as well.
Nice!!! Can you make a RAW 580 vs RS5 size comparison video?
Sure can! Already planing a RAW 580 VS RS5 video.
Nice flight, brother. I still have to do a little tuning on my RS5. Still getting used to some of the intricacies of Rotorflight programming/tuning.
@@DeathPunchFPV Thank you! I was very pleased with only really needing to do one tuning flight and it was perfect!

I would also like to see a video on that. Maybe tuning in general.
Thank you! So I did a Vbar tuning video, going over what I look for but I can do A more in-depth video.
@@westhobbiesrc8051 ah i skipt that because i don’t have vbar.

Debating between this or the Tron for my next build. Heavily leaning towards this just because the parts cost is a fair bit less I believe

That’s a tough one. I love my Tron! Parts are definitely cheaper on the RS5. Comparison video coming very soon on the two.

Why not used the zoom? 😢
I can see it no problem. Harder on a small phone. But zoom sucks on a GoPro
