I Love Tanya. I think she is just about the best female artist of my lifetime. I marvel over my blessings haven seen Tanya perform when she was in her early career. I am talking when she was 15 and 16 and headlining a venue that only the very A list performed in. Tanya’s career has been exceptional since the beginning and it is amazing how she has stepped up to the plate every year of her career and proven exceptional, truly exceptional. The Great Tanya Tucker got her Grammy's!!!! She's more than Deserving!!! Tanya Is only 6 years older than me. I grew up with her music. I remember the first album of hers i got. "would you lay with me In a field of stone" Here's a backstory that includes that album.... My mom and dad along with my brother and sister were driving to White Oak Mt to visit my Grand parents not long after i got the lp. Naturally I had to take the record with me so i could play It on my Grandma's console GE stereo. On the way up the mountain my dad had had one to many drinks of whiskey. He started a fight with my mom. To make a long story short...the car stopped. my mom and us kids got out and started walking. However, i made sure I had Tanya's album with me. I was not about to leave It behind in the car! We didn't walk long, wound up back in the car and on up the mountain to my grandparents house. What memories I have over the years that Involve Tanya's Great Singing. That was one out of many! Congratulations to TANYA TUCKER on her Grammy wins!!!! Go out and Buy Tanya's Grammy winning album! It's one of her BEST!!!

This song cuts deep. I lost my dad almost exactly a year ago. Cancer took him within 2 months of his diagnosis. My dad did so much for our community, his industry, and diesel tech school students, the church was standing room only. So many flowers and plants. So many peoples sentiments left unspoken thinking we would have him for many more years. Hug your loved ones. Tell them why you love them. Never lose that chance.

Talk about hills and valleys in someone's life. Tanya has had it all, ups, downs and all things in-between. Glad to see she's finally getting the recognition she deserves. Like the the song, it's too late to award someone when they're gone. Tanya, Loretta, Charley Pride and Johnny Rodriguez are some of the only ones left of the old country music stars. Let's award them and reward them while they are still living with us. Look for Johnny's autobiography coming out in May of 2020. He's played with them all including Tanya.
