Your interview skills are incredible as you talked with Tanya Tucker.
I like how you made the world aware of her challenges and, still, at the same time, made it about how people celebrate her.
... you definitely know how to show the lasting, enduring relevance in people.
Good job for I've viewed many of Tanya Tucker's interviews and you just made us feel good as you talked with her.

I have LOVED Tanya for what seems like forever ( I'm 57 ) because my mom use to play her records & when she took us to school ( drove 1 & 1/2 hours....a 1 way trip ) she would always sing Tanyas music... Mostly " what's your mommas name" & "Delta dawn". I grew up at a very young age ALWAYS DREAMING of meeting her at one of her concerts. In 2017 (?) I saw her at Billy Bob's of Texas. MY HEART ❤ SANK !!!! My sister yelled out that we have listened to her music for " ABOUT. " 50 years & I said or close to it ( just a rough guess) & Tanya came across RUDE & MOCKING US. I ALWAYS LOOKED UP TO HER & ALWAYS LOVED SINGING HER SONGS ( even up to this day !!! ) I ALWAYS thought that when I got to meet her up close, that she would be as nice as I had always dreamed of. I use to dream of singing on stage with her for 1, 2, or even 3 songs. THAT REALLY CRUSHED ME !!! ( 😭😭😭😭) Now I'm back to living in Southern Oregon & have come to the REALITY that the biggest dreams of my life ( her being so nice & kind + singing with her ) will be ALMOST GUARANTEED TO DIE WITH ME..... I'm NOT 16 anymore, I'm 57 ( though I joke about being & feeling 21 ) CONGRATULATIONS Tanya, I'm sooooo, proud of you & your career. KEEP REACHING FOR THE STARS........ LOVE Jacqueline ( Jacque ) Hulse........A DIE HARD FAN. I have Prayed for you & will continue to do so. A GREAT SONG THAT YOU COULD WRITE ( IF you BELIEVE in yourself strong enough ) could be about what life has been like for you as a singer ( looking through your own eyes ( & maybe other people's eyes ) & your life as Tanya the regular, every day, individual (not the singer) such as a daughter, wife, mom, neighbor ( who you are or would have been if you had never been a "Star" /singer.....a person who struggled every day for a dollar/money ) NOW JUST PAINT US A PICTURE..... OR WRITE YOUR STORY & TURN IT INTO A SONG. Maybe do 2 separate songs OR twist & tie both into 1 song. >>> more music that has plenty to say so the WORLD could know you better, before you die. LISTEN TO ARTISTS/SINGERS .......such as Loretta, Tom T Hall, Jerry Reed &
?? What are they trying to convey to their listening audience(s).... Potential fans ????????

If Tanya Tucker had sung rock music, she would have been praised as a trailblazer. But the country music world was still very uptight, fundamentalist, and patriarchal when she began in 1972/1973. “Girl” singers were supposed to wear long Amish-looking dresses and sing about the men they loved, taking care of the family, etc. And they CERTAINLY weren’t expected to have a sex life and enjoy it!
Tanya ignored all those rules and did her own thing. They couldn’t ignore that her massive talent would sell millions of records, so they kept her working. But they certainly weren’t going to reward her publicly with awards, or exalt her like they did Loretta, Dolly, or even Tammy.
Her late-bloom is due to a cultural shift in what’s acceptable for women in the country music world, not because of any personal problems she may have faced over the years.

I was terribly disappointed with this interview. Tamron was doing all the talking. She rudely interrupted Tanya several times when Tanya was talking. You could tell by the expression on Tanya’s face she wasn’t pleased with the interview. There was no need to bring up a part of Tanya’s life that she wasn’t very proud of. Her audience would to hear about the inspirations for her songs, her decision to never marry, her children. Very disappointed in Tamron Hall as a host.
