Great to see a lot of people trying to run these bldc motors. Just to let you no a vfd will work but to acquire more rpm they need 310vdc and the frequency is over 400khz. I have achieved that to prove it and I got one to spin at 4k rpm now that's scary. I am working on another one to go faster.
So, this electric motor can be run on VFD. Sir, I have some questions, please. Does the motor operate efficiently without connecting the hall sensors? The other question is: Is it possible to reach high speeds (6000 rpm) and how much electricity does it consume, the electrical power of the electic motor? Sorry, Sir, for my many questions, and I hope for a response from Please and thanks in advance.
Would LOVE to see a follow-up to this great video, especially the "other control" method mentioned. How does the added wire modify the circuit to create such a watts savings?
Hi. I'd email you directly, but you didn't provide an email address in your "About". I have a question, assuming you know how these DC flat motors mount In the LG Front Load Washing Machine, do you think it would be possible to connect the VFD (such as the one you depict in your video) While the Machine is Still Hooked UP to the wiring harness as it came from the factory? There doesn't appear to be enough Space to do this. Do you think it would be possible somehow with a dual female wiring harness, thus allowing for the washing machine's male plug to plug into the female receptacle, as well as a manual control VFD control, too? The Reason I would like to do this, is because these front load washing machines--although the latest models have gotten perhaps a Little Better (I have a newer LG Front load, that was purchased in later 2021) with the pre-balancing the spin load before the onboard microprocessor of the machine allows the motor to start ramping up to spin speed--they microprocessor programming is Still Too Super Sensitive / Not programmed quite right. I can do a Better Job of getting the load balanced enough and gradually ramp the motor up to spin-extracts speeds! What do you think? Thanks.
Great! Wich is the correct version for Europe 220V input and output if possible around 400V? Thanks again, hope you put more new video in this channel.
Hello. I have an idea to run the inverter air conditioner compressor with the help of a vfd, similar to the one in your video. Inverter air conditioner compressors are called dc inverter or simply inverter. In addition to the U-W-V cables in the compressor in my air conditioner, there is a fourth cable named N. As seen in the video, this 4th cable is connected to the intersection of the phases in the middle. As far as I have learned, the air conditioner works in open cycle until it reaches a certain engine speed during the first operation, then it continues to operate by switching to closed cycle. The difference between open and closed loop is to ensure that it does not fail by sending the correct energy to the correct phase of the running motor under load. My question to you is this. Can I start this engine with the help of a vfd? Also do I need to look for the SLV feature you mentioned in the video? Thanks.
I did not have the original shaft from the washing machine. I made a shaft out of a thick 3/4 inch washer and welded a 3/4 inch shaft to it. The motor is mounted to a 1 inch thick piece of plastic sheet. Two 3/4 inch pillow blocks are mounted on each side of the plastic sheet. I used 3 x5 paper cards on each magnet and dropped the stator in . You my need to use multiple 3x5 cards on each magnet, depending on the motor you have. Then insert the shaft into the pillow blocks to determine the location for the stator hold down bolts . Spacers are required to keep the stator at the proper height.
Because I have a fisher and paykel smartdrive motor And I'm using it as a generator but I'm just waiting on to get a VFD for the motor so I can properly test it just to verify its in good enough shape.
Hi I want to use this Motor to drive a LOW 300RPM Wind Turbine Motor to generate electricity,do you think its a good idea. What issue would I come up against this setup. Thanks

The stator did have 2 hall sensors that only work with the original washing machine controller. The stator was not rewired at all. I did add a terminal where the 3 phases connect for other experimentation . Adding this terminal does not alter the stator wiring . The motor controller I used will run this motor with the factory wiring harness and no wiring alterations .The controller must be set up as shown in the video . I would recommend the Teco Westinghouse L510-101-H1-U because it will allow operation of the motor up to 1 HP output .Setup for this controller would be the same as in the video .
How did you center the stator and drum without the magnetic drum snapping to the stator? Did you use the mount from the washer or had something machined to center it?
So Have this stator and drum attached to a 3.6KV generator head with a 110 to 220v 1500W VFD. the max rpm is only 1000 . The generator head min is 3600 rpm. Do I need a bigger VFD (e. 3hp, 5hp etc) to increase the RPM?
Different controller, the vfd runs the motor on AC with low frequency and high current, you won't get appreciable torque. These motors need 20khz+ and 500v+ pulsed DC, can run very low current then aswell. I have 2 controllers that output 220v, about 10khz, max speed for the 12 inch is 560 rpm, but REALLY choking the outside of the drum, it cannot be stopped and does not reach 1.5 amp input

A high frequency controller with low voltage is the key to run the Gerard Morin hyperdrive generator Actualy .it’s impossible to find the right controller , even in China !! Don’t forget , you have to find the right LG direct drive motor with a steel shaft to make the job
This controller is working fine without load, if you put load on it the lg motor will run hot (100 degrees) in a few minutes. So this was a waste of money :O. I also have the ZM-7205A and it's working fine(motor is not heating up), but it's a litle week. I see there is another model of this driver ZM-BL2210F, and should have twice the capacity of the ZM-7205A. If anybody here have tried the ZM-7205A? please let me know if it is any good?
Thanks for the tip regarding the ZM-7205A. I also used a VFD and it got hot in minutes. But wasn't a dead loss because I have other 3 phase motors to use with the variable frequency drive. My band saw runs so good with that. It would be great to be able to hack the driver circuit that comes with the washer. I wish my skills were further advanced because I have feeling its not that tough to do. Did you try the ZM-BL2210F?
i love the sound of the direct drive system in LG machines
Tried several different BLDC controllers for these washer motors and this is the only one that practically works.

Hi bro
I want to ask that can we increase its speed up to 5 or 6000 rpm

bro. is possible to run .38HP bldc motor the drive is damage and i want to eliminate hall sensor with that kind of vfd
What minimum voltage power can it rotate and what maximum??
Thanks for the info, where is the center wire ?
Hi there, are you able to take the rpm up to 1500rpm with that controller?
I tried to control one with a Siemens Sinamics V20 VFD and it did rotate at 20 RMPs but got hot really quickly.

is the motor automatically speeding up when you try to stop it or is it the controller doing that
when will you video the new efficient controller?
