Perfect timing for this video. I have 12 Boy Scouts learning about RC car basics tonight! Hoping to get them to build litter buggies out of my crawlers. This helps me to remember the basics!
Thanks for such a great explanation. I’ve always wanted to get into the crawling/trail truck side of the hobby. But Man I wish 1/10 scale wasn’t so expensive. I’d love to get out in the woods with my daughter… I know 2-300 isn’t a lot to most but as a single dad who has his lil girl full time it is a lot of diapers, wipes, food and all lol..
I saw a review on Amazon of someone asking if the 3542 outrunner they purchased will be compatible with the 20 amp utb18 ESC they had purchased new along with the motor 😅 Best advice i had as a noob was 1 to turn 2 to burn.
This the most basic how to RC I’ve ever seen for the experienced it’s painful but I think it’s nice because not everyone knows about the RC hobby & even the most experience still learn new stuff all the time you never know everything but to know the basics is exactly what you need to know first.

For the ultra noob, what "kit" or type of connectors do I need to grt to be able to plug all the things together?
I have 3 trx4s...now starting a lcg trx4 build...so lost in what i want to do. 2low trans..trx4 sport trans with 45t spur, revolver outrunner ect ect.

can I just chop off the ic3 plug on my esc and replace it with an xt60, and just ignore the small "smart" wire?
Yes you can we got rid of it on our scx10.3 no problem yet about a year and a half later you should be good..
