- In November 2024, after two years of nothing Rockstar essentially remastered the remasters in the Grand Theft Auto Definitive Edition.
This gameplay footage is from Version 1.0.8 which includes the new Classic Lighting changes that all other versions got as well. It's running on the Nintendo Switch.
Gameplay is only to show graphical changes and not very interesting....
Fog is the actual improvement here, classic lighting is just an artistic choice
Hi, well done for the video, just a fast question, is it running better on switch now, i mean framerates?
I'd like to hear about that too
There are still frame drops but not as much as it used to be before this update
Pretty much the same as the last patch: Some minor drops between 26-28 frames
I might actually buy it now
Now the Game loooks good
Will you record a vid for GTA3 as well? You only did this and Vice City for some reason. Thanks! :)
So, only classic lighting add to Switch GTA update ?
no, they fix the sky color, fog, they fix the physic too. the point is switch update is got the same treatment like the other platform..if you talk about the graphic then is not about fix or not fix..the graphic is just downgrade because switch limitation
@closeenoughforliving oh ok 👍
@@BroHazeman but actually there's a visual and performance upgrade for switch, the frame rate now is stable more playable, the resolution is get upscale..so reso is more sharp since the new update, really worth it now on switch
Frame rate is a bit more stable now
was this footage made using an emulator? it looks crisp and stable. it's been a while but i remember the nintendo switch ports being suboptimal in presentation
It's the game on actual hardware
From main Switch itself
I played a bit yesterday after update and they do feel smoother.
If the switch got the update so did the ps4?
Yes ps4 got it
No
Hi guys. Does the update apply also on the phisical version?
Yes
thank you!
How do you switch the lighting?
Press “+” for menu, scroll down to options, right trigger tab t graphics, finally scroll down to classic lighting, off or on.
In the menú opción graphics
Don’t do it it still sucks on switch I promise
