SNSD introduced me to kpop with Gee, but Suju made me stay and dig more for kpop through Sorry Sorry, It's You and Super Girl. 😍 They are my first bias group and I really love how multitalented Suju members are in terms of singing, dancing, writing songs, playing musical instruments, acting, MC, DJ, and they are still variety kings until now for me! 💖 2009 is such a blessing year for me coz I entered this kpop world! 😁💙

Cool that you notice how strong Super Junior is in terms of using their number to make the vocals interesting. They're so underrated as a singing group because, must admit, they are a visual treat when dancing. People overlook how, not only do they harmonize well, but you can actually pick out who's singing what even in a chord. Timbre-wise the group is so colorful and that's their real strength that the audiences (especially the regular media consumers in Korea) have no appreciation of.
Which is why the best way to win a fan for Super Junior is actually inviting them to a Super Show where they perform their full range. Haha. But how often can you do that...

I missed Super Junior so much. Super Junior isn't really that much of a dance group (SJ-M, however...) but they're definitely a vocal group. They have a lot of good songs especially their ballads. I would've been nice if you reacted to Sorry Sorry (and Sorry Sorry Answer) and It's You! Those were classics and they really showcase SJ's vocals.
P.S. I'm so excited for Red Velvet omg. I'm so glad you're reacting to both Red and Velvet concepts. Velvet concepts need to be appreciated more! Haha.

I've been waiting for months for this reaction to come out. Especially since newer kpop fans don't know about Super Junior. I'm glad most of the reactors really did like SJ's music, a lot of people don't realize how beautiful their voices sound when they all harmonize. I'm even impressed Ryeowooks voice was praised. He usually is the underrated member between the K.R.Y members. I hope to see more Super Junior Reactions in the future, they've covered a lot of different genres in the last decade ^^

I've been waiting about four months lol
SJ is the only Kpop group and all SJ members are rare singers i love to listen all the time. in my opinion they have the best harmony among Kpop groups and their songs' arrengments sound best to me ( I don't know anything about music technically but i listen what sound nice and comfortable to listen). and their singing. among members there is no member who disturb the flow of the song with their voice or singing.
generally i dislike how some Kpop songs sound like they put together different songs in one as if they were composed by different people in different times and mashed together, they sound mess and noise, but SJ songs sound comfortable to listen for me. ballad, dance, sorrowful or playful, trot whatever style they sing they pull off them perfectly.
Mostly agree with your points but not with the 'best harmony' thing... i mean yeah amongst the current conventional Kpop groups their harmonies are certainly one of the best (not arguing that)
but if taking into account previous grps I'd have to say DBSK before the split had the best harmonies and also currently I'd say JYJ's harmonies are also on point tho some may say it's easier for them since there are only 3 ppl XD
Also I've found that despite the lack of publicity DBSK and JYJ members are all unique and strong vocalists in their own rights tho that's to be expected since dbsk was supposed to start out as an acapella grp 🤣😅
like you said DBSK has 5 members it is easier than being in a 13 members group and still put together all 13 different voices to make a song.
kuroi bara totally agree on your point though I'd still say that disregarding both the benefits and downfalls of having more or less members, id still say that for me at least the harmonies performed by DBSK are top overall although SuJu is def only just barely behind them 😅
Of course both having more or less members have their respective advantages and disadvantages. More members means it is harder to have a good arrangement that makes use of all voices well however as typically such an arrangement would result in the Singers doubling up for each part apart from the solo, it creates a sort of a safety net where it's harder to go off cause you have someone else singing the same parts and a smoke screen for any minor (and I mean really minor) mistakes.
But on the other hand less members also mean a lack of said safety net and smoke screen though they may have an easier time with creating arrangements that encompasses each voice...
Mind you I'm not belittling any grp or anything this is just my own personal opinion based on my experiences singing in a larger grp and a smaller one XD
Tho on the matter of best I suppose we will just have to agree to disagree (as it is now in the current Kpop scene tho I'd say SuJu and JYJ is def top of the bunch for harmonies sound quality wise... ) historically tho (or as far as I know or have heard Kpop) the moment I listen to the bolero and love in the ice live performances - well let's just agree to disagree XD
Either way ELFs and Cassies have gotten along well generally speaking (as well as I know) we tend to have this unspoken agreement of disagreement anyways so I really hope you (or other ELFs) don't take offence to my rambling thoughts haha 😂 I really don't wanna incite a fandom war between the 2 gen 1 Hallyu grps i love ❤️

It's something I didn't notice at the time, but lately whenever I listen to a song from that era there's a dubstep breakdown or it's just a dubstep song so often. For example, this song, everybody by shinee, action by nu'est, a couple songs from f(x)'s album pink tape, and more.

i love both songs. if you want to understand Mamacita MV watch the drama version. I find Mamacita MV is not just a funny stupid video. it tells how the world is working in fact. Ultimate power holder (Kyuhyun) gives power whoever he wants and take it back whenever he wants. they control money, armies, and crime organizations. Bullfighter (Eunhyuk) is I don't care as long as it doesn't effect me netizen being. he plays around and doesn't see what is going on around him. When he meets Donghae and gets involved with events Kyuhyun sends the girls over them to distract him like we get occupied with entartainment world, celebs lives and scandals, football, variety shows on tv and dirty politic games played behind while public made buys with something else. Fruit Seller is small companies who gets effected bad whenever there are power games. and in my opinion Mamacita can be the female figure of justice.

They had Korean OST, Japanese album, Japan tour, Asia tour, but Korean album . (LOL)

Old Songs -
Sorry Sorry (2009) - Is THE Song that LEAD the Hallyu Wave. Iconic does not begin to cover this.
Bonamana (2010) - Massive Hit - Quirky Background Drums, you'd get a kick out of it.
Twins (2009) - This was their Debut Song so it's a lot of teenage angst meets wannabe Def-Leppard vibes it's fun to watch when you see how far they've come.
