    These are the best, a chasing start really makes you work.

    I really enjoyed that challenge, edge of the seat stuff at the end. I’ll be trying this myself soon.

    That's actually impressive given that he didn't do any course cutting, I imagine it was extremely tempting to sprint across the grass at the start

    Ooh, I like the next video's concept, 70s Nike shoes. Don't forget the 1 inch seams.
    Keep the quality content coming, and any of the Mills works for me!

    To make your maths work, times by 60 to convert your decimal to seconds 😊.
    Example - 4.8 on the calculator = 4.(0.8*60)
    =4.48
    Conversely, dividing by 60 gets minutes into a decimal. So 9/60 = 0.15
    2.5/0.15= 16.6 😊

    Cracking effort on what looks like one of the worst laid out tracks ever for a park run. Jeezo that is so narrow and when folk come in opposite direction at turnaround it’s even worse

      We don't make it easy for D Mills!

  • @gowanlock
    @gowanlock 11 месяцев назад +3

    That maths was SHOCKING.
    If you have 9 minutes to make time, divide that by the 2.5km. 9/2.5 = 3.6
    3 minutes + 0.6 of a minute.
    10% of a minute (0.1) is 6 second. 6 seconds x 6 = 36. 6 mins 36 seconds. You can do that in your head dude

    Last summer I drove 30 mins to run a 19:40 parkrun and finished first, I was so happy.
    But some of the parkrun in UK is really competitive, you need sub 18 or 17 to finish first.

      I absolutely love that dedication, nice one! Yeah, my PB location at Dulwich, I'm lucky to get a top 30 with a sub 18!

    You might have worked it out but a 5:10 first km means he's 70 seconds behind to make up over 4km. That's about 18 seconds per km so 3:42 target pace. 2.5km with 9 minutes left is 18 minute 5k pace.
    Congrats D Mills! Amazing effort.

    • @CrownMyRun
      @CrownMyRun  11 месяцев назад +1

      Cheers mate haha! I should have worked it out before but wanted to try and do a 1 take video and not watch the video before!

    • @JoshuaHancock-zk2tx
      @JoshuaHancock-zk2tx 11 месяцев назад +1

      You can actually work it out in your head for the last 2.5k. 9/2.5 is just 10/2.5 and then taking off 10%. So 4 then 3.6. And 0.6 of 60 is 36. So you get 3:36/km. Easy to do the less you think about it 😅

    This would be a much easier challenge at my local parkrun the majority of the course is really wide, with lots of room for overtakes and there’s no turning back so you’re never facing on coming people
