I love how people can do their eye makeup first but it never works out for me when I try it. I find it satisfying, relaxing, finishing all my different projects really everything on the back end of Real Estate escrow files. I’m also a professional dancer, and I’ve always done my own makeup. Even as a teen, I loved dance competitions because I got to wear makeup 😂 and I learned to do it myself. My mom is a dance teacher, so I learned from her how to makeup for stage. But I actually saw a post a few days ago from a mom in my area who was looking for a makeup artists to do her daughter’s makeup for a competition, and I was FLOORED. It’s not something I ever thought about, us dancers have always just done our own makeup. Or, as kids, either the teacher or a designated mom would do the makeup for concerts.
I used to ALWAYS do my face makeup first, but nowadays, with some eyeshadows being a bit flaky and bitty (indie shimmers/multichromes, I’m talking about you), I will do my eyes first if I’m using one of those.
Absolutely I do eye makeup first. I'm quite nearsighted, so I have to get close to do my eyes, and I don't want to mess up face makeup having to get close and touch my face. Contacts come next, which lets me sit back to do my face and get the whole picture. Now, I'm really tired and aware that these sentences may not make sense. ETA it makes fallout easier to deal wth and lets my skincare soak in while I'm doing my eyes.
I have done my make up both ways but I honestly rather start off with my eyeshadow look first then do my face makeup. Especially, for me ... I love bright,colourful,sparkly eyeshadows soO I literally rather spend the majority of my time on my eyes. If there's fallout it's ok easier to clean up toO. Liking this collaboration video.
