So don't come for dark skin girls when they receive the little appreciation they do in our media.     In Brown Skin Girl she references Lupita Niango and Kelly Rowland. I'm so glad she included Kelly in the song. Kelly came out as being in Beyonce's shadow and not having the same kind of promotion as her co-member. I'm glad Beyonce addressed colorism through her music.

I haven’t had Beyoncé music bring me to tears in a very long time. But this one has me all in my feels in a good way.
