In this gameplay I don’t care about the arc soul. I’m just getting a feel for speed booster, which I dislike.

In normal quickplay modes I feel the Amplified playstyle is fine, but the Getaway Artist playstyle is KILLER in Rift. Having a speed boost on command when running the spark is insane.
Next time rift is around, I’m gonna try out stasis hunter. With dusk field and touch of winter so they’ll have no idea where I am. And run eager’s edge sword to shatter skate… seems way too fun

Arc's speed boost is as much as a sprint speed exotic plus a lightweight weapon's movement speed boost.
Exotic + lightweight doesn't need specific circumstances or have a windup either.
I feel like getaway artist, after the arc 3.0 update, lives up to its name more now. On command, you can become amplified which let's you move faster jump higher etc, to GET AWAY from people faster. Really like how bungie did that
Still need a 2s sprint for proc though and speed boost is just tsteps+lightweight
That speed boost slide-in shotty then teleport out the doorway was what I needed to see to put a dress on 😮

Getaway Artist is a melee build now. One burst of the arc soul + the charged slide melee = 1 shot melee, plus amplified chains further. It's a better version of Dunemarchers that just requires a bit of foresight, and it's *so much fun* against teams who camp in rifts.

dont want to critique too hard, but when you consume grenade while you have your rift arc soul up, you will retain the weaker arc soul instead of the empowered one. Also, you can reset the duration of your empowered arc soul by casting and staying inside your rift. Hope this helps = ]
This is a great point to make people aware of. Usually best to pop the rift with about 2 seconds left on the sentient timer, at 1 second it can be iffy if it'll go away before the animation is done.
Since arc 3.0 that is not true anymore, arcsouls are now supercharged when you are amplified, based on the arc soul aspect description. The benefit of getaway artist now is the on demand amplified + speedboost, and that virtually you can have the benefit of all 3 aspects if you want.

@@NYC_InfamousNick no there is actually still a difference between getaway artist arc soul and amplified rift arc soul. Getaway artist shoots 6 times vs 5 or smth is what I saw earlier this season

The amplified/speed boost slide is probably one of my most favorite additions this season. Little did we know, Arc 3.0 was the real “go fast” update all along.

Idk if you have tried it with a glaive but amped arc buddy plus a single glaive shot kills, the lil guy can be unreliable sometimes (at least for me I dont know how to use warlock all that well tbh) but its fun!

Before the Lemon Nerf and high res meta, Getaway and Lemon never left my Warlock in PvP, for a long tike too. Since Season of Opulence.
It was 1 poison crit and 2-3 arcsoul hits to secure a kill.

Just a reminder to folks. Sentient arc soul has a longer timer that standard arc soul. So if you use sentient arc soul first, then use your arc soul rift you’ll reset the timer. You can do the inverse but you’d only have 13 secs compared to 20 secs. plus sentient arc soul is always amplified and doesn’t need the buff to use it.

I'm with you on the amplified not being great, at least the speed booster part. I feel like if you want to go fast on Warlock you just play Dawnblade right? Ophidian handling + 100 mobility while amplified is nice, and the arc soul combos nicely with things like Aggressive HC and Adaptive Pulse that almost 2-tap. Not requiring a kill is good, don't know if giving up your grenade is worth that though. That said, Arc Soul leads to some pretty funny interactions. I once got frozen by a super or something, and had an opponent try to primary me, so I intentionally stayed frozen and let the Soul laser them down. So, there's that at least.
I hate the increased jump height, the sprint and slide buffs are nice but really aren’t that good, just some fancy effects making it look that way
The problem is that amplified speed boost is the same as the normal max sprint speed of 12.5%. Using speed boots plus a lightweight weapon means all amplified does is make you jump higher

If you use the rift to extend the sentient arc soul, you get 5 more seconds and are likely to get the 'nade back before you need it again.

Thorn was an interesting pick to watch. Definitely pretty great and a lot of ease of use. I personally went with an igneous that had elemental capacitor. Easy 1h2b which isn't necessary but better yet possible 2 taps depending on the timing of the arc soul. Just make sure to switch the arc soul shoulder when you start peak shooting. Also there is an obvious kinetic choice which is the rag shotty.

Wouldn’t your Timelost found verdict be better with an adept handling mod instead of range? You only need around 50 range if you have opening shot to achieve semi consistent 1shots at 7m, going above that does not really lead to more 1shots.

I think he's running thorn because the extra burn damage combos with the arc soul well. Thorn is at base 2crit 1body only at medium resil. But with arc soul it's 2 crit 1 body at any resil, as long as arc soul lands 1 hit
I think its better with weapons that dnt chunk health or leave ppl 1 shot
I’ve been using Getaway Artist with Lumina and the Gallu sniper.
My Gallu has arrowhead break, handling masterwork, Ensemble, Harmony and alloy mag so when you have blessing of the sky, ensemble and harmony up you have a 98 handling sniper, with harmony damage buff, blessing damage buff and an arc soul. You can very nearly body shot people with the snipe at 182 and the arc soul can clean up.
Being amplified messes up my jumps, but I’m sure I’ll get used to it. Just wish the whoosh and stomp sound wasn’t so loud

This probably hasn't been mentioned in the comments. But even if you cast rift for arc soul, you will still get the enhanced version of the arc soul whether you have amplified or not due to having getaway artists equipped

Amplified is so disapointing. The speed really isnt there. You're louder than 20 titans stomping, the super floaty jump is just always awful and makes traversing terrain garbage, transforming you in a sitting duck midair. The slide is nice tho
