Yuji Itadori Meets His Real Brother in the Shibuya Arc | Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Explained

In Season 1 of Jujutsu Kaisen Todo thinks that he’s Yuji’s brother, but this isn’t the only time this happens.
During the Shibuya Incident Arc in JJK, Yuji comes across a curse named Choso who we’ve seen in the first season, and as Yuji and this mysterious curse are fighting having an AMAZING battle that’ll be a highlight of Season 2, we see similar scene when Choso suddenly has a memory of a past that never happened where he sees Yuji at a friendly dinner between him and his other brothers who Yuji and Nobara exorcized in Season 1. This is because Yuji Itadori ISN’T a normal human being, and he’s actually the result of a long plan created by an evil sorcerer in the past named Kenjaku, who for some reason created 9 different crosses between a human and a curse, and after realizing that he can SENSE Yuji much like he can sense his other brothers, Choso, one of the Half Curses, realizes that Yuji himself is just like him and that means that Yuji is Choso’s little brother.

And we don't know yet if Kenjaku's really gonna be the main antagonist although it's looking that way, currently he has another physical form though so he doesn't look like any of their parents anymore.
Chosos fight with Yuji and his character progression after will make him a fanbase favorite
This explains well why itadori is so strong physically without any major powers and can tank damage for some time. It would also explain why yuji resisted sukuna so well in season 1

The fact that Sukuna, a murderous raging psychopath who only cares about power, sees this as distasteful is pretty telling. Sukuna will murder you and your whole family, then probably eat you, he might even torture you a bit, but he's not going to experiment on you for years and steal your children. I think this only goes to prove that the Itadori’s are special. Looking at the hair alone makes me think they’re descendants of the Sukuna family. It doesn’t have to be Ryomen himself, but maybe a sibling. Someone with close blood ties at least. Kenjaku has always been a long term thinker. It wouldn’t surprise me whatsoever if they had been tracing his line throughout the years
Choso has become one of the best characters in the series. I love his and Yuji's relationship and hope we see them interact more. And that nothing happens to either one lol 😅.
