tbh it's not really about "the media." It's more about how quick people are believing in rumours/stuff they read online and that are pushed by ignorant/hateful people (e.g. all immigrants are dangerous, which is a right-wing talking point; Deichkind are pretty left-wing and very supportive of refugees etc.).
One of my favourite German rap bands. Not like the wannabe gangsta shit "the kids" listen to nowadays. Realizing what I just wrote made me feel super old, btw lol..
Is there a version of it with working english subs? The videos I found had horrible subs and that wouldn't really make sense for him to react to, right?
You love this band, you're on the way down the rabbithole. Bet you also loved Devo in the day :) I definietely recommend to listen to more of their songs they are just amazing
I like that deichkind has chosen a more satirical style with there newer stuff, I can highly recommend "Geradeaus" (straightforward) from them! Not only are the visuals interesting again, but there rhyming/rapping is beautiful in it :)
The song is about the source of (any) information - where does your Information come from and what gossip (and worse) does it cause? There is more of course - but different, as they like to play with Image of being senseless party rappers. Interesting (and very entertaining) combo, truly.
still I would say this song is two fold. Of course it is critizising blind believe but at the same time it also tells you that it makes no sense to question EVERYTHING all the time. Because if you try to do that you will go crazy as well because you can't verify everything on your own (e.g. it is pretty unlikely everyone of us can go to space just to have a look at Earth from out there). It also makes no sense if everyone tries to verify if vaccines really work on their own when there is already decades or centuries of gathered knowledge and evidence that generally speaking it works and is highly beneficial. Of course you can question if a new product is actually working/tested enough (thats the you do you, I do me part then) Anyways its a great song for the beat and the message.
The scene in which you see all the clones with those smartphones attached to their tuxedo's is a reference to the movie Matrix Reloaded. In one scene Neo gets attacked by multiple Agent Smiths.
Have you ever seen the video "Pursuit" of the French DJ/Electro artist Gesaffelstein? No? Go watch it to see where most of the inspiration for this video is coming from...
Yes, you said it right. A great rap band from Hamburg in the 1990s was "Fettes Brot", great music and lyrics. "Fantastische 4" was good, too. "Deichkind" remind me of the Beasty Boys a little...
Your interpretation of the lyrics is good, but I don't see the "free speech" aspect you saw. I think its a commentary on our post factual time and that people should question their sources
With you sentence "thats the whole world of woke" you sadly proved that you didnt understood the song and still follow a constructed label that was only establish to generate a rift in society and fuel hate. Its not by chance that the wordcreation isnt even defined and everybody just use it in his own limits of hate 😅
His comment about "Woke" is not an insult or hate speech, it's just a correct description of an anti-democratic, an intolerant movement within a small but loud portion of our society. We should discard wokeness and return to respect, equality, freedom, dignity, all the features of a liberal democracy.
Yes, your pronounciation of band and song names were good.
"Wer sagt denn das" was pronounced perfectly and sounded damn cute!
Your 'ch' ich Deickdind was on point. Not many English speakers manage that as well.

Yeah totally right.
this.
@@Parageno absolutely right. This is the correct interpretation of that song.
That’s exactly what I was thinking. It’s just so easy to interpret in any way you want if you don’t get the sarcasm in Deichkind‘s lyrics.
One of my favourite German rap bands. Not like the wannabe gangsta shit "the kids" listen to nowadays. Realizing what I just wrote made me feel super old, btw lol..
Krawall & Remidemmi!
YEESSSSSSSSSS!
Your pronounciation was spot on.
👍🏻😃
I love their „In der Natur“
Brilliant as 'Kein Party'.
omg, i was so surprised by the way u pronounced wer sagt denn das, it was perfect tbh
Pronunciation of the band and song title were spot on 🤩
I love Deichkind! please listen "So ne Musik"
Is there a version of it with working english subs? The videos I found had horrible subs and that wouldn't really make sense for him to react to, right?
Aaaaw, Deichkind fetzt. Moin aus Schleswig-Holstein, in der Nähe von Deichen. ;)
Moin aus Hannover ❤
You gotta see "Deichkind - In der Natur".
You love this band, you're on the way down the rabbithole. Bet you also loved Devo in the day :) I definietely recommend to listen to more of their songs they are just amazing
At least we germans have experience with walls. So we know they are no solution.
Deichkind are pretty much a league of their own. Only ones close to them would be K.I.Z as well as Retrogott together with Nepumuk
I really like Deichkind - as well as the early »Old School Hip-Hop« stuff as well as the more recent electronic fever-dream like stuff…
23y old Song US Soldiers got the Song 'Limit' from Deichkind in Irak and Afghanistan on their Playlist. Years ago. Great Song
I like that deichkind has chosen a more satirical style with there newer stuff, I can highly recommend "Geradeaus" (straightforward) from them!

0:50 Well done!

Did you know that Deichkind is from Hamburg, the City with the Miniatur Wunderland!?
Would love to see you react to more Deichkind!
Actually this song is satirical against all conservatives ideology, altrightand and the believers of the deepstate theory 💁♂
as a german i can tell you that your pronounciation was really good. :)
Bück Dich hoch
Very good pronunciation of the Band and song.
Love your reactions!
I recommend "Weit Weg" from Deichkind, one of the best german rap songs ever :)
very good german! 💙
love their videos.
The language of art is international.....as the language of bullshit is. Love Deichkind
You found another german gem! Deichkind is amazing 😎
I recommend "Leider geil" from them. it is a banger.

Deichkind ist leider geil. 🤘
You found a rabbit hole of nice music and great videos...watch out for "auch im bentley wird geweint" 😊

Look also Fanta 4 and Seed, there are also great Rap Bands😂
Ja, leider sind die selten mit english lyrics. Ohne ist es für ihn wenig interessant. Suche schon ständig youtube durch danach 😅
👏👏👏
So a "Deichkind" is a child (kind) that lives near a bank (deich).
Well they are from north Germany. Maybe it just means "people that grew up near the sea and the banks".
Please react to their song "In der Natur".
next up 4 you think " KREISKY "
Tonight is the grand finale of Eurovision Song Contest… just saying.
Wir haben Ferris! Und was habt ihr?
Deichkind just released a new video called "Könnt Ihr Noch?". Just saying.. *cough cough* ^^
send me link with english lyrics, I need to understand what they sing
Check out Peter Fox! "Alles neu" or Schwarz zu Blau.
