The smoothest blender in the world. It just reminds me of how my Saturday mornings were to blend beans for moi moi and Akara. The finished look is beautiful 😍
You are very correct about people in villages. Even in towns baby food is not beans! My son was finishing a carton of sma gold in 2 weeks. I managed till 3 months we switched to akamu asap!
I struggle so much to do exclusive for 4 months and my babies cry so much because they are just not satisfied. Thank you Nelo, I have a new plan now for the future 😁. Adanna is two months, I cannot believe it 😍
Frankly speaking, 2months old is just too young to start taking solid foods especially when the mom is right beside her. Even if u won’t exclusively breastfeed for 6months, at least try 3months first and then introduce milk then slowly to solid foods. Her intestines isn’t as mature enough as u think. Plus breastmilk has all the nutrients needed and body defense cells to help her fight infections for next 6months. Nevertheless It’s your decision to make. Adanna is gorgeous ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
It's not that early! Our mother's train us with food (pap) from days old and we are still very strong and healthy! There are kids that eats alot, hard to say but mine started at 4days..
Thanks alot for this video my baby is 5 months now and I have been scared to introduce solids for her but seeing you prepare this for Ada am good to go😍😍😍
Nelo by the way I’ve introduced your channel to quiet a few Caribbean American, who are similarly interested in our ancestral homeland and we really enjoy when you take us along for the ride 😊
Oh yea, my mum used to make this too, even pap. Btw, that woman is equally a neat person considering the fact that there were no particles of beans or pepper remnant from her blender. If you know, you know!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Weldone mama
Enjoying the vlog . Typing while watching. Thank for taking me along to the market and grinding process. Love the realness. Adanna growing up fast. Kiato enjoy your bread o. Thanks for showing me Nigeria. By the time I visit I’ll be versed re your cultural practices.
I enjoyed the video, it brought sweet memories when I started solid for my son, the stress is out of this world but enjoyed every bit of it for the sake of my love for it. Thank you for sharing and bringing back memories. It’s so real and I can definitely relate to it.
I also started it for my baby when she clocked 2 month,I make it than also put it on fire and stir for 2 sec, and pour into a flask, make new one every morning, Nd not planning to stop anytime soon 😁
Super Mum. The blender brings back memories. I remember when my mum would send me to go and blend beans and I would use the opportunity to talk to boys hahaaaa
This video was very nice and you're doing very well, by allowing your baby girl to eat solids from now. I'm sure *she'll enjoy it* and always want more, which is good for her to have a healthy appetite. *Great job Nelo,* all will go smoothly and you will be satisfied with the outcome. Nice seeing you Nels and take care until the next one!
lReally good to see the process, i never thought of mixing different grains. It’s better to do it yourself that way it’s clean, I don’t like buying pap.
Nelo that Blender looking like that it's probably an African thing, because even in Cameroon it's same and it's fast, quite affordable, and they take large quantities.
Dear Nelo, I live in London, so l don't have access to the grinding machine you used in grinding Adana's food. But I have 2 blenders, one that is over 20 years old, and a modern one, and they both blend my beans, maize, millet, rice, dry roasted peanuts etc, perfectly well. I wash and soak my ingredients at least over night, or for 24 hours, and then I rinse and put a cup of water in the blender, and slowly add my maize 🌽 for porridge, beans for Akala / Akara, etc, but I don't soak the ground nuts / peanuts, I grind it with water. I think if you blend the ingredients at home, then you'll avoid driving out to the grinding machine, unless the machine is within a walking distance. I've used my blenders in blending beans for Akala for a party, and it went well. I believe you can blend 2 or 3 cups at a time, and use it for a day or two, and then blend another again, or even if necessary, blend daily, and a good nutribulet will grind very nicely for you, try it and see. Wishing You All The Best 🌈
Hi Nelo, just came across this video while searching for how to make pap for my 3 months old and I love this method. Please what did you add to the pap before giving Adanna.
Guys nelo said she doesn’t plan on stopping soon for any of her kids is she saying there are more kids in the future so more okeke cuteness I’m here for this
Pls aunty nelo, am a new mom,and my baby will be 2 months in days,so pls i was want to know if u added any sweetener or milk to the dawa dawa,I really need this because,I always leave her for her dad anytime I go for lectures, she is never full.
Is 2 months too early for solids for the baby? We usually start at 4 months....we buy the corn meal already grinded wouldn't that be easier? I love learning new cultures... Addana is adorable.
Nothing is as sweet as having a daughter honestly. Both sex are good though, but, there's this special joy attached to when you have a girl especially when it's exactly what you're praying for. God bless and keep you Adanna!
This stuff legit knocks me out to sleep. This particular mixture if you want to finish me add soybeans inside. Let that house burn I wont wake up. It's legit awesome
When I’m in Lagos, I shop from inside the car. From meat to fish to pepper to grinding the pepper, to chicken, killing the chicken, and cutting the chicken, to ewedu, okra, Maggi, palm oil, groundnut oil, gari, elubo, etc. My favorite markets are in Sura and Sand grouse. But person must use brain. I found for example that I can get plantains cheaper in traffic than at Sura market. Also, some supermarkets near my house sell certain items so much cheaper than buying them at the market, so I need to shine my eye at times.
Naija my country... I remember this process during my first baby, this grinding process just took me back memory lane. Big boy kaka... Growing so fast and handsome 💙
Oh woww interesting, I didnt know we could start solids at 2 months. I always start my kids at 6 months. You were so hands on with the food/blending preparation process, I liked watching u there😊
You were really hands on with the whole grinding process. Yes I remember one should blend until it comes out so smooth. And this blender does the work best, tested, trusted. 💕
This is what I did for my son though we started at 3 months and my mum started giving him amala at 3 months lol. Initially I was angry but I am greatful because he doesn't select nigerian food.
@@blessingitua8204 I was forming mordern mummy before lol, from two months she would put little soup in his mouth with her finger so that he could get used to the taste of what we eat in our house.

The way she giggles in front of camera as if she knows we are watching her.
Pls Nelo did u soak the corn in water first before grinding?
I remember going to blend my younger sister’s own when she was born. The whole process is still fresh in my mind😆
Don’t worry you’re not doing anything wrong. Some kids take food earlier than 2months, it’s all a matter of choice.

Soaking it helps with digestion (gas) which happens with beans.

Yeah they say 4 to 6months is best for the digestive system.🙏
Exactly I don’t know about earlier than that but I still do not feel if you Dnt start at two months they won’t take African foods. Just my opinion 🙃
@@rukeiwhiwhu6498 they'll still take African food even if u didnt start that earlier. As long as u introduce it to them and be consistent..
I can't give food until they can hold their neck, I will be so scared to start at 2 months, 5, 6 months.
