(Jazmin’s uses they/them btw, for anyone confused) So to answer your question about the switch between sounds, Saccharine was from Jazmin’s debut EP, Worldwide Torture, released when they were about 15-16, around that Era Jazmin released many heavy rock/metal/creepy-cute type of songs even some singles like Pesticides and Birthday Bich (sadly the label took them off Spotify). They were then planning a new album which had Puppy Pound, Carnage (with Lucy Looney who also has an amazing discography), and another song called R U Looking 4 Me Now. Jazmin wrote a lot of these during a really tough time in their life and some songs (like Jazmin’s part on Carnage) were rewrites of WWT era songs and after getting help decided to rework the album’s sound which is how we got songs like Piggie, Terrified, You Know What You’ve Done, and Favorite Toy. The album has gained the name “Traumatic Livelihood” and is coming out later this month! Though they do occasionally still release more “Hardcore” songs like their collab with DeathByRomy, HeIIhound. I recommend that for the 2nd part if you wanna see how their rocker sound has also improved and because sadly no one really talks about it, it’s good they’re still able to be versatile with their sound! Anyways that’s my Jazmin Bean lore lesson for all of you lol
i looove ur reactions to this lol also just some things about Jazmin and their music -Jazmin goes by they/them -Saccharine is about being overly obsessed with someone "My teeth are in pain/I'm gonna break you/Before I can say "I love you" they use the metaphor of someone being so sweet that it's rotting their teeth - there's the meaning of the bloody teeth and such -Puppy pound is kind of like being used and then thrown away, "Normally, I'm no stray/You wont find me in the lost and found/So why'd you make me feel like I am in the goddamn puppy pound?" -Carnage is so 😍😍 not much to say about carnage -Terrified and their album is heavenlyyyyy thats my Jazmin essay because im in love with their music and recovery☺☺
The dentist in the saccharine mv is played by fellow artist, Salvia who supported Jazmin bean as the opener during their debut tour, The Terrified tour. I recommend checking out her music as its very good and last June she released an album with a couple of mvs
I'm a jaded, older studio musician and I get nothing but grief from my peers for being a huge Jazmine Bean fan. F 'em. Such a talent and such a great songwriter.
Jazmin is much different and healthier now and so is their music. 1 they were 16, they’re 21 now. 2 they struggled with abuse and some addiction in the past 3 after going to rehab they scrapped the whole entire THL (traumatic livelihood) album they had made, and remade the entire album 4 Jazmin is Non-binary, and uses They/Them 5 their music style changed, and they have gotten vocal lessons in the recent years 6 their new song YKWYD came out just a bit ago. 7 TLH is coming out in 6 days (as of writing this) 8 I recommend reading articles on Jazmin, so you can more understand about this person 9 “Terrified” is about love, if you didn’t know. “It’s so hard for my wounded spirit to accept hands so warm” talking about their abusive partners in the past. And the stars they heal is like healing other hurt souls. 10 they’re friends with Lucy Loone (one of my other favorite artists) 11 Jazmin used to own chinchillas (no one rlly knows what happened to them 😭) 12 Jazmin owns a Sphynx named “Monster Truck” named after their song “Monster Truck” Can you react to TLH when it comes out? I love this channel I recently discovered ^^ Hope you have a nice day
their music wasn't "Unhealthy" It was their way of processing what happened. They chose to not expose the songs they made cause they were so personal. The songs were probably also incredibly intense and visceral that people would either judge them, not understand them, or hate on them for dark subjectmatter.
i think saccharine is about like overly-obsessing over someone but i wanna know what the bloody dentist stuff is about in the mv also puppy pound is my fav
“It’s sweet like saccharine”, “I want some more”. Saccharine relates to sugar so it’s like a simile for someone they loved and couldn’t get enough of. And having too much sugar makes your teeth rot. This explains why they were at a dentist and their teeth were rotten because of how bad that person they loved was for them. My English is horrible and I know this comment section is old but I tried to explain.🥲
@@ViniciusX-jr1pn i dont speak that language but im guessing you are saying piggie, fav toy, terrified, and ykwyd are an ep, which i dont think is true because rhe jazmin bean album reveal had all those songs in it.
heyyy just found this video! i love love love jazmin bean but noticed some of the timelines/histories are a bit off. the actual main audio differences is due to jazmins life. during worldwide torture jazmin was still in high school struggling with a brutal ketamine addiction, a presumed abusive relationship/s and just overall was not doing great mentally, they say they used worldwide torture as a way to express themself, but at the time they were mad at the way things were and the world, (also peak covid era) and that’s how they coped with their emotions, by making more “intense” music. then they started working on a new album. during working on the album, jazmin went to rehab for obvious reasons, and after finishing rehab and coming completely sober, they were going back through this album they had been crafting and realized it sucked. their label didn’t even accept it because it was allegedly so awful, since they were heavily and frequently under the influence of ketamine. then came carnage, a single, and from there jazmin began entering the music scene, later to release the most recent album, traumatic livelihood. it’s basically a much more meaningful album as jazmin is actually processing these emotions they didn’t know how to properly express previously. it’s kinda about their journey towards making traumatic livelihood, why they were mad, the toxic relationships, where they are now, confidence, etc. edit: aren’t necessarily *wrong* here’s just another factual perspective on it using interviews, posts, lives etc. from jazmin
Before WWT they were in a really rough time and did alot of drugs. Once they had attended rehab they wrote the songs that are in traumatic livelihood. Theyve grown so much as an artist i love themm
Just so you know Jazmin uses they/them pronous! Theyre non-bionary. Jazmin once said (i think it was in a vogue interview on yt) that they wanna be a "genderless monster" when its possible someday ✨️
You need to React to they’re Upcoming album “traumatic Livelihood” on February 24th. Also They go By They/them pronouns, they’ve Stated many times that it makes them Uncomfortable When People Misgender them, I’m not much into That Spectrum tho lol

saccharine is a metaphor, it actually means something over-sweet
