Good review. I personally prefer doans brand because its softer to shave than theharder harbor freight version. That said if i had the harbor freight one it would still go on my pocket or fire kit. Liked and subbed
Excellent! I like the idea of having some waxed paper in a kit. Takes up very little space and can serve multiple purposes. Harbor Freight has both junk and good products. This is one of the winners. Their cheap power grinders are an example of a bad one. I used my grinder to cut off some sucker rods. After cutting two 1/2 inch rods it smoked and died. Replaced it with a Dewalt which has lasted for a long time doing the same kind of work.
HF for can be hit or miss for sure. I've had good luck with heavy duty sockets and even an HVLP paint gun, but it can be a roll of the dice. The Mag Block works great for me though and I'll be picking up more! Thanks again for the idea!
I'm thinking of taking one of these fire starters and cutting it down lengthwise to reduce the size for use in an Altoids kit. Would a hacksaw blade be a good choice for cutting it?
Nice find! Can’t beat that price!
Thanks! I'm impressed with it honestly - not too bad at all!
Great video! I like how you show the struggles you can expect when you’re actually using it (magnesium blowing everywhere). Good solid info here
Thank you!

Waxed paper and foil are also good for building fires on wet ground.

I think it would cut nicely if you take your time. Great idea!
