Dual banders do not make good gmrs radios. Especially baofeng. Just because it transmits there doesn't mean you should.

Covering up the model with your thumb lol. That’s like drinking a 40 in a paper bag so nobody knows what your drinkin 😂. Get a baofeng gmrs radio and you won’t have to program it, just turn it on and it works. But yeah, the 5r is a great cheap throw away.
