Subaru getting the appreciation that he deserves! Just a detail, Season 2 had some production troubles, like the COVID and less quality people working in the production, they did a good job, but it's nice to keep that in mind
Season 1 when it was new got my interest enough to put season 2 on my watch eventually list. I watched season 2 late and now I'm hooked. S2 is one hell of a deep ride its one lobg arc instead of 3 arcs like S1, and it makes you realize things that made bo sense in S1 actually make a lot of sense once you rewatch it.
Btw the first and second season covers the first 15 light novels which is the first 4 arcs. Arc 1 being 1 volume, arc 2 being 2 volumes, arc 3 6 and arc 4 5 volumes. The authour have planned for 12 arcs and the 7th and 8th arc are both 8 volumes long and the last arc is atleast planned to be double the lenght of arc 3 so that would be a minimum of 12 volumes which means that we could gte over 70 volumes of the re:zero light novel which could be 100s of episodes more and most stuff have still not been answered lmao

You dont get it right from the start, because you know everything up to the episode you are watching. You did know, that subaru was a shut in, it is said in Episode 1 and 2, you do know all his hardships through the Episodes up to 11 and 12, so all the trauma that allready happened to him. You allready know that he is overplaying his insecurities since the Lap-Pillow Episode. You do know his selflessness, since he jumped from the cliff to safe Rem and to get the hands of Betty and Ram clean. You know how hard he is working to all the Mansion Episodes. You do know, that nobody explained to him the Racism, Emilia never talked to him about it and explained it to him... You dont get it is right for each Episode you are ranting about a Teenager, pulled into a strange world, that was a shut in before and gets overwhelmed with immense Trauma he has nobody to talk to about. You just dont go the extra step trying to understand his position and forgive him the 1 Mistake of following Emilia into the throneroom. This one selfish action delets for you everything before. So you dont get it.
