    Thank you for a great tutorial. You have a lovely presentation style. I am convinced that the microwave kiln is worthwhile and will search for one.

    Loved your pendant! I have a quick question for you. In your first firing of the base(black pieces), you mentioned being a total of 6mm. When you fired for the 2nd time adding the dichroic and clear glass it became thicker. Does it matter how thick the piece becomes in relation to what the microwave kiln can fuse? Thanks

    Are there slump molds which would work in a microwave kiln? If so, where can I buy one that fits within the 5in. diameter of my microwave kiln? Also, I see some kilns that have what looks like a black coating around the sides. Is that some kind of kiln wash? Thanks for your help! You produce very helpful videos!

    Hi I enjoy watching your tutorials, just one thing could you please make the sound a bit louďer as I wtch you on my ipad I nearly have to be 6 inches from the screen to hear you. I do not have that problem with other type of programs. Thanks again for great lessons

    Absolutely stunning! My daughter and I absolutely love watching your videos. However, it is somewhat hard to see without the camera zooming in for closer looks. BUT our question of the day, is during this tutorial, we noticed the necklace you were currently wearing and wondered if you had a tutorial on how to make it as well?! Maybe its not the same kind of glass. wasn't sure :}

    Curious why you can't fuse it all at once? Why the 2-step process? I did make this from your video and it turned out beautiful! My very first piece ever! Thanks so much!

    • @GlazeGlassJewellery
      @GlazeGlassJewellery  4 года назад +2

      Hi Joanne - I did this as a 2-step firing to preserve the dichroic. That way I could get the shape I wanted without burning off the dichroic. The more dichroic is heated the more it will lose its vibrant colours. Try it yourself - you can fuse it until it goes grey (which can sometimes be a nice design element, but a waste of dichroic I think ;) ) Thanks for watching my videos! So pleased to hear that your first piece turned out beautiful! Have you checked out our courses on kraftfun.com and kraftfun.newzenler.com? You can find out more on our facebook group - Kraftfun Microwave Kiln Glass Fusing. Have fun with your fusing Joanne! x

    ahh.. wonderful tutorial. I have wondered how these are made, and here in NZ too! I recognised your kiwi accent. I am getting the vacuum gear together (almost have all now) to make the vapor deposition dichroic glass here in NZ as well. Is there a maker or supplier in NZ already?

    Tried this 3 times and each time the black bottom layer cracked when reheated. 24 hours between each operation.

      look up fused glass class near me on your phone. My daughter bought me a microwavable kiln for my bday and I watched tons of videos, I finally found a local place that does fusing and sells tons of things. She told me to just go home and try! I have made lots of things now. It's really fun. you're just gonna have to try. hopefully there's a glass art place near your home.

    Great instruction, god-awful camera work. Camera person misses so many cues to go close in or raise the view when the instructor lifts a pendant. Frustrating to watch.

    keep the hands still and show what you are making close up away the colorful outfit you have on some camera angles make it hard to see what you are doing
