It has great tone…not harsh like many demos…maybe older strings sound better 😊

Can i use a medium gauge strings in the Yamaha fs800?

i probably wouldn't but if you do stay tuned down or only stay at pitch while playing, the tension will make the top belly below the bridge, just don't want that shape to stick. other folks may have another opinion here so it never hurts to ask your luthier or check the manufacturer recommendations! Tuned to D the yamaha may sound pretty awesome, also a capo will be your best friend, just pay attention to your instrument and see how it goes. Cheers!
