As a Canadian, and as a Torontonian, first of all I got to say Buffalo is looking so much better than it used to, you guys are doing a great job I revitalizing your beautiful city, but I absolutely love the old grain silos that have been converted into a giant Canadian beer cans! Every time I see it I get thirsty! LOL! Living in Toronto I get so tired of seeing nothing but brand new insanely tall glass and steel boxes a.k.a. condominiums, it’s such a wonderful break to leave the congestion of my city, and only a short drive away, I’m surrounded by some of the most historic and beautiful buildings and all of the Americas. I know Buffalo has had a very hard time over the last 50 years or so, and it breaks my heart to see such a magnificent city crumble, but over the last 10 to 20 years, I can tell that a lot of work is being put into restoring your beautiful city back to what it once was, and hopefully, to let it keep growing as it was supposed to. There’s absolutely no comparison between Toronto and Buffalo, yet we share so much. I grew up watching Buffalo TV and listening to American radio stations, every time I’ve gone to the states I’ve had to drive through Buffalo, I think I’ve been through your city at least 30 times if not more, but it wasn’t until a few years ago that I decided to stop and spend a few days looking around, and I’m so glad that I did. I hate to say this but Buffalo used to have a very bad reputation, at least from a Canadian perspective, all we ever heard about Buffalo was how dangerous and violent it was, how it was a dying city, and had nothing to offer. But, after I walked around your city I realized that was all a big lie, Buffalo is an absolutely beautiful city, dare I say one of the most beautiful and best laid out cities I’ve ever been to, and I’ve been to dozens of major cities all over the world, but if you can compare to your beautiful city. The fact that I majored in architecture before I was forced to drop out due to my health, truly makes me appreciate buffalo that much more. Never have I ever seen so many heritage buildings so perfectly preserved, as if they’re just been built, anywhere in the world. Sure Manhattan has a lot of old skyscrapers, but they can’t hold a candle to what Buffalo represents. Edit speak one buffalo head about 1.5 million citizens, it was literally outgrowing New York City, but then everything changed with the route of goods being distributed throughout North America, leaving for Buffalo in the dark. Through a series of corrupt politicians and horrendous city planning, i.e. - the expressway that went right through the middle of a beautiful neighbourhood and all but destroyed your downtown area, the city saw a very quick decline in population, and in social standing in wealth. But I’m happy to say that’s all I think of the past, and the Buffalo is now more beautiful than it ever has been. It’s only about 1 1/2 hour drive from Toronto to Buffalo, because I do a lot of flying, it’s so much cheaper to fly out of Buffalo, so I just drive to Buffalo, leave my car there airport and fly for less than half the price it would cost me to fly out of Toronto instead. Even with the added money I spend on gas to drive there, I’m still saving at least 20 to 30%, and, I know that I’m contributing to a growing economy that’s benefitting city that so desperately deserves to be reborn in the 21st-century. To all of my neighbours in Buffalo, just please let me say one thing, keep doing whatever it is that you’re doing, because it’s absolutely beautiful. I took my family last summer to a waterfront festival, and we had the best time ever. And I have to say it was surprisingly cheap to stay there. I forget the name of the hotel, but it was over 100 years old, and completely refurbished from top to bottom, it look like something out of a fairytale, it was absolutely gorgeous inside, yet we only paid 150 a night, which is so cheap. You couldn’t even get a flea infested motel for that price here in Toronto. But there’s no comparing any city to Buffalo, you guys are so unique, and your grid system is so beautiful and efficient, whoever designed your city was a genius, along with your parks and your heritage skyscrapers, you have so much to be proud of, so I spread the word as much as I can to all of my friends, many of which have actually gone to Buffalo for the first time in their life even though we live so close by, and they two were really impressed with all that’s been going on. Keep it up, I’m proud to say that we’re more than just friends, but family, growing up Buffalo was a huge part of my life, living so close to you guys, I knew all the news in Buffalo more than I did about the news of my own city, because when I was a kid Trono is a lot smaller back in the early 60s. Anyways, just thought I’d say that, thanks for the video, and rest a sure that I’m gonna keep on telling everybody I can about your city, One thing you really must do is start advertising here in Toronto, because were so close to you, I know a lot of people in properly motivated, will definitely come for a visit. You’re so close you can go for a day or a weekend or for a whole week, either way your city desperately needs more Publicity. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an advertisement for tourism to Buffalo clear on Canadian television, but I guarantee you that if you started to promote Buffalo, you would have so many people coming from Toronto to check it out, especially because you’re so close to us. You just need to figure out how to speed up the border process. Last summer it took me three hours to cross the bridge, but only an hour and a half to drive! If you can talk to US customs, and see if they can find a way to speed up the process, you would have a lot more to us coming to visit you, and intern, adding millions and millions of extra dollars to your local economy every year, but that’s just my two cents, thanks again and take care, with love from Toronto!
WOW!!! THANKS TJ!!!! Our stories are similar in that I grew up watching Canadian TV and Radio stations (CFNY was my favorite station in WNY). I have been here all 47 years of my life, have visited Toronto for some of my favorite concerts like Depeche Mode, MUSE and RADIOHEAD!! I have been amazed as much as you on how far Buffalo has come in the last 7-10 years, and many of our neighbors are just as in shock, but there were many people committed to making the change and they just kept plowing (Buffalo has snow! HAHA!) through!! Thanks again for sharing your story! I pinned this to the top so many others can read what you wrote!! I wish we could fix the border to speed up, I have been told if you get the NEXUS pass its a breeze to come back and forth! I for one, am very thankful for all my Canadian Brothers and Sisters, and have always considered our neighbors to the north as the best we could ask for in the world! So thank you for your comments, and for watching my video and for being a great ambassador of our hard working city of Buffalo!! Hope to meet you one day and thank you in person! Sincerely, Peter Cimino

Hey I'm doing a travel vlog and was wondering if i could use some of this footage. I would of course cite and meantion where the footage is from. It's not this channel though. The channel is not eve started yet. My names kevin. From Michigan. I sailed through Buffalo and I was way too much of a noob to even attempt flying my drone at that point. My shots would have been shit anyways
Is Buffalo really that bad.? People on here give the notion that it’s a ghetto crime/lead infested wasteland. To me looks like great potential city. Honestly ask cause have a potential great job opportunity there but the negativity makes me want stay out here in Texas. :/

Great video but the music was awful, pleasant light music would be more fitting. That music was too heavy
John Barnes you won’t like my newer Best of Buffalo video as it has the same music! Thanks for watching anyway!
